~ His gesture of love

"Who are you?"

"The one you did wrong with. You have snatched everything from me draupadi!" The woman yelled as her eyes furious and filled with pain. Draupadi couldn't get why she was blaming her for. The woman before her was no less beautiful and was seeming like any princess. She came near her and held her palm.

"What are you speaking about devi? I didn't know you then how will I do anything wrong to you?" Draupadi asked but the woman before her pushed her hand and glared her. She was maithili. After knowing about yudhishthir's marriage with draupadi, she was shocked. She couldn't proceed it for many weeks but then finally she burst out. Kunti was consoling her but she wasn't able to take it and the first thing she did was to face draupadi, which was the worst decision of hers.
"You did, panchal kumari! I was so happy, dreaming about a beautiful life but you snatched it from me. Only because of you maharaj has gone far from me. I lost the man I love." Maithili said with tears of jealousy. Her inside burns whenever she sees yudhishthir near draupadi. She couldn't take her failure.

Draupadi was in complete shock. What did she just said? She couldn't belive. "What are you saying?"

"I was going to marry him but you came in between." She yelled again and draupadi felt betrayed once more. He was planning to marry someone else? Then why came to her? Why that fake drama of bringing her back in his life? Does that mean everything was just to get his heir back to him? How can he do such thing? She can't trust, her heart was saying to belive him.
Maithili hold on draupadi's arm and broke her thoughts. "Why have you come into his life? You have his son right? Then leave him na, you have a symbol of him. Please leave him and go away, I can't live without him." She begged before her and draupadi was just blank.

"I can't leave him princess! He is my husband and we have a son too......"

"Why can't you leave him?" Maithili yelled with anger and pushed draupadi. She couldn't proceed and fell on the side of sofa. "And how do I belive that it's his son? What if you are just doing it for becoming the queen? Is that really his blood of you had other affairs__"

"RAJKUMARI MAITHILI!" Both the women turned their heads towards the door where now standing the king. He was looking so much angry. His eyes went towards his wife and it didn't take much time for him to run near her. He gently get her grip and made her sit on the sofa then making sure she wasn't hurt looked at the princess. "You don't have any right to question my wife's character. I hope you know the punishment for questioning queen's character." He firmly yet bitterly said. Draupadi stood behind him and just looking at them.

"I'm speaking truth only. What's the garuntee that he's your son? She must have another relationship and now when you find her she just lied so that it would make her son's life better." Maithili said which boiled his blood and he had no calm remained back. Just respecting her feelings he talked normally.

"Again it's a warning for you princess. Do not speak ill about my wife. She doesn't have to prove anything, one word from her is enough to know." He told which made draupadi look towards him. Her eyes glittered with emotions for him.

As they were talking when kuti entered the chamber. She stood near maithili and asked her to come out. Maithili wasn't listening but later she had to.

They left the chamber and so yudhishthir turned to his wife. He held her arm and checked if she was fine. "I'm really sorry for what she said. But trust me i never doubted you, I know prativindya is my son. I know my panchali, she can't love anyone else than me." He said with full confidence and no confusion detected in his voice. Draupadi did react as she didn't know how to. He trusts her that matters the most.
"You wanted to marry her then why came to me?"

She only asked the question. Though her heart was wishing for an answer but she didn't look at him and just started walking away from him. Whereas he wasn't ready to let her go this time. His hand held her arm and he brought her back to the place. His palms held her face in a loving hold. Draupadi's fingers tightly clutched on his angvastra she looked into his eyes only seeing her own reflection in them.
"I never wanted to marry her, trust me! Maata had kept the proposal before me but after you I had never seen anyone worthy of that place. You hold the highest place in my heart and no one else can reach there."

After hearing this she couldn't question more. Her heart was at peace and now finally she could feel the happiness. Her eyes automatically lowered, yudhishthir thought she was feeling uncomfortable and detached himself. He stepped back and stood there trying to find some reason to bring conversation but failed.

"You here at this time? I thought you would be free at night only." She asked thinking to normalize the situation. Yudhishthir smiled happily that finally she cared to talk with him. He shook his head and told. "I was just tired a bit and then wanted to see prativindya." She nodded and started going from there. He wanted to stop her but didn't dare and sat on the sofa taking off his crown. Draupadi noticed his activity and saw him laying on the sofa itself. She felt sorry about it but didn't act and just left the chamber.

There shadev was troubled. He was standing outside the chamber of his mother and thinking thousands of time before going inside. As he knew there was maithili crying and sobbing near his mother which he couldn't see. He had seen her furiously going towards his brother and sister-in-law's room. It was him who had intentionally suggested yudhishthir to take rest for both reasons.
By the time he has realised his feelings for maithili but as she was supposed to be his brother's bride he ignored it but now he wanted to take care of her.

He doesn't blame yudhishthir for her condition because his brother had clearly rejected to marry anyone. It was his mother who filled those thoughts in her mind. As shadev was doing so his mother came out.

"Shadev? What are you doing here?" Kunti asked suddenly seeing her youngest standing there with concerned look.

"Nothing mata, I saw you and rajkumari. Anything serious maa? Is she fine?" He was hesitant to ask about her but can't resist.
"What should I say now? It's all my fault, I had made her dream about her marriage with yudhishthir thinking anyhow I will convince him but after draupadi's arrival I won't do any injustice with her. Currently I'm tensed for maithili. She has been slipping in the sorrow." A tensed sigh left as with the guilt she went from there leaving her younger son in deep thoughts.
