Cool wind flew throw the corridors and windows. The days turning short and night long as the season changed into winter. Between the chaos of duties and responsibilities there the children sat playing and enjoying their days.
Prativindya, vrishsen, kanishka and little sutsoma were standing around the cradle where the little princess suthanu was sleeping soundly. As sutsoma could barely stand on himself so vrishsen was holding him in his hands. He cheered seeing the baby and struggled to get her but kanishka gestured him to silent."Som don't make noise, thanu will cry." She warned as vrishsen too sushed him.
Draupadi there opened her eyes and saw the children, she smiled weakly and coughed furiously. Her deteriorating health was troubling more. Hearing her voice prativindya turned and came running. He held the glass of water and gently made her drink it. She smiled and caressed his head. Her child has grown up to take care of her. While prativindya was scared to see his mother's health, he just wish that she become well sooner.
"Sorry maa, I disturbed you."
"No baby your presence make me happy don't say sorry." She said kissing on her head.
"How are you choti maa? Are you feeling good now?" Vrishsen asked as he touched her forehead. Sutsoma jumped on her lap and babbling her name again and again.
"I'm all fine my child. When did you all come?" She asked looking at them as they sat around her. "We came to play with thanu, mamishree. But she is sleeping." Kanishka said like a mature girl. Draupadi loves the child, she had become way to mature of her age and all because of her sinner father. She just hates that man for doing all that with a child. Just because she's girl he doesn't feel to love her. Seeing yudhishthir loving his daughter like a delicate flowers makes her proud. She feels blessed to have him as the father of her children atleast if any day she died then they have their father to look around.
"She will wake up in some time dear, then you can play with her." They talked as the children started telling her about the mischiefs they did.
Their attentions went to the door as the guard announced about yudhishthir's presence. He entered with a tensed face but changed the emotions as soon as his eyes laid on the children. They all came hugging his legs as he loved each of them with his hand over their head.
"Play outside children, your maata need rest I will call you when thanu will wake." He said as they all nodded being convinced and ran outside.
Draupadi gave her pretty smile to him as siding the blanket she tried to get up but failed miserably due to the weakness. Yudhishthir held her instantly and settled her back on place.
"You would never obey my orders. What's the need to move from here? Already you are not well." He scolded her with concerned voice. She pouted her lips that melted him in seconds. He huffed and shook his head then sat beside her. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest then laying down peacefully. He stroked her hair, his eyes not leaving her even for a slight second. From last few days she has been on bed due to severe weakness. She was fine for few days after the delivery but suddenly the events changed. She has been coughing terribly untill her lungs are emptied with air. Sometimes it gets unable to breathe. Nakul and shadev were always around her and finding best medicines for her treatment. Though it wasn't very serious but yudhishthir fears a lot. Her health reminds him about the curse again and again. He hasn't forgotten the horror of that curse till now. Still praying to God that it doesn't destroy their happiness.
As he was lost in his thoughts draupadi looked above and touched his cheek. She clinged more to him and asked what happened but he avoided. "Did you take your medicines?"
