Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom

Pt.17

"Come on men!" Vic Hoskins shouted as they all drove towards the sounds of the Megaraptor's roars. A fleet of Motorcycles and Jeeps, and a Pack of Velociraptors close by. At the very back of the group was Claire and the boys in an emergency care truck.

Suddenly the Raptors began to slow down, and they began communicating among each other, a majestic debate as they agreed on which direction to go. Suddenly they took a few steps more, and they came out to a clearing in the jungle, to the right of the group was a Paddock, it had the designation 016.

"Fire on my command!" Owen said as he laid down in the grass "don't fire otherwise! Or I'll have some blood on my hands."

The Raptors looked around as they growled at the unknown target. Suddenly in the front, a group of trees began moving, and suddenly the Megaraptor poked it's head out of the trees. Then in an instant there were laser pointers aimed directly at the Megaraptor.

The Megaraptor looked at the Raptors, and Owen gasped in surprise as it made a cough sound, and the Raptors, specifically Blue and Red went forward and mimicked the sound.

"What the-" Owen said in confusion as suddenly the Blue and Red began communicating with the Megaraptor.

"What are they doing?" Barry asked as the Raptors continued to talk.

"They're... Communicating?" Owen said as he aimed his gun at the Megaraptor's head, right in the eye, but he had turned off his laser aim.

Suddenly the Raptors stopped talking, and The Megaraptor made a grunting sound as it motioned to the group of soldiers all around, and the Raptors turned and began to hiss at the soldiers.

Suddenly the Megaraptor roared and all at once the Raptors rushed in for the kill as the Megaraptor began clawing at the large paddock right beside them.

"Run!" Some of the men and women shouted as the Raptors grabbed them, and dragged them into the bushes where they screamed and kicked until the long, sharp killing claw on the Raptors' feet was used to kill the person.

"What's going on?" Zach asked as he tried to take a peek at the action, but Claire closed the window as a Raptor pounced on a man.

"Nothing Claire then said as she frantically began turning on the Van, but it wouldn't start, and suddenly a hand hit the side of the window.

"Hurry! Go!" The man shouted when suddenly Red rushed by and took him to the bushes where she screamed in terror and pain, before it all ended suddenly. Claire then began working as fast as she could to turn the van around and drive away.

"Open Fire!" Owen shouted as the men began to fire on the Raptors, and the Megaraptor. Suddenly there was a loud bang, and a raptor shrieked in pain as it fell to the ground.

Owen went to the downed raptor and looked, it was Delta, the smallest of the pack and the only Mongoliensis

"It's okay Delta." Owen said as he slowly bent down to comfort Delta in her darkest hour. Suddenly the gate to the Paddock fell free from it's hinges. And red lights began flashing as Owen continued to pet and comfort Delta through the pain.

"Retreat Men!" Owen said as he turned from Delta for a second to tell the A.C.U soldiers to retreat as a Phorusrhacos otherwise known as a Terror Bird, came out of the cage. The Bird squawked before taking a bite from a man, causing his bones to make a sickening snap as the remaining half fell to the ground, limp.

Owen stroked Delta as the Phorusrhacos then went right up to him, and glared down greedily at Delta and Owen.

"It's okay girl." Owen said as he continued to comfort the Raptor, but Delta used the last of her strength to kick Owen out of the way as the Phorusrhacos ate Delta whole. Suddenly bullets came from behind the Phorusrhacos, and it turned and squawked in anger before rushing to Señor Hamada who fired at the bird. 

"Hold position!" Señor Hamada shouted as he continued to fire at the Phorusrhacos but it quickly reached him, and tore him in half with it's sharp beak. Owen breathed in a deep breath before aiming a pistol at the head of the Phorusrhacos, and... Bam!!! Suddenly the Phorusrhacos shrieked in pain as it's eye bled out. And then the massive bird collapsed to the ground as Owen sighed in relief. Owen then noticed Echo was attacking Barry, who was trying to hide in a fallen log.

Owen then jumped back onto his motorcycle and revved the engine, causing Echo to focus her attention on Owen. Owen then began driving away as Echo followed close behind. Owen noticed the Van up ahead, just barely started driving away.

Blue and Red made a Caw sound as they then headed into the woods together, and Echo and Charlie followed Owen. Owen then drove up to the window of the Van before knocking on it and Claire rolled it down.

"You need to drive faster Claire. My raptors will catch up to forty miles, so go as fast as you can!" Owen shouted.

"Wait! Where are you going?!" Claire then asked in shock.

"I am gonna try to lose them back here!" Owen shouted as Claire nodded with a sigh and drive faster.

Suddenly Charlie pounced at Owen so he went to the right a little bit. Owen then shook his head as he continued driving along the dirt road. Owen then slowed down and turned as Echo pounced right above him, just barely missing his head.

"Huh?" Owen murmured in confusion as he noticed something in the distance, then suddenly from the trees came Blue who used her killing claw to tear the front tire up, causing all the air to flow out.

Owen looked behind him and saw Echo and Charlie coming at top speed, and he couldn't help but thinking well... This is it. But instead of pouncing at him, they continued on after the van. Owen then sighed and looked to Blue.

"Hey girl." Owen then said as he prepared to defend himself.

Meanwhile Claire continued to drive frantically as she struggled to get away. Claire looked out the rearview mirror on her side and saw Echo, so she turned really hard into Echo who was pushed into the trees, and away from the van.

"I think we lost them guys!" Claire shouted as she opened the divider.

Charlie then pounced onto the roof of the Van and began clawing at it as fast as she could. As they all focused on Charlie, Red came out of the trees, and pounced at the back doors of the Van, knocking them off their hinges, and Red hissed in delight as he continued trying to get in. Charlie looked in front on top of the Van, and the boys began shouting at each other as they grabbed whatever they could throw at Charlie to knock her off.

Red then hissed as he pounced and grabbed onto the rear of the van, but the boys had run out of stuff to throw, and that's when Greg noticed it out of the corner of his eyes.

"Look a prod!" Greg shouted as Zach reached for the Dino Prod. Zach grabbed it, and began searching it for a power button, when he did find a button, it extended the prod, and Zach smiled.

"A dino Prod." Zach said as he then pressed the button again, and the tip of the prod lit up a bright blue before Zach touched Red with it, and red hissed as he was shocked off the rear of the van.

"That" Zach said in excitement.

"Was" Greg then said in a very similar excitement.

"Awesome!" They both shouted in excitement as Claire opened the divider again.

"Everything all right boys?" Claire asked.

"I am so telling mom." Greg said, and Claire shook her head.

"Keep it our little secret, what just happened." Claire said as she shut the divider again.

Owen then drove up to clair on a new tire, his hair was tussled, and there were scratches on his shirt.

"They're retreating for now, head to the park we can regroup." Owen said as he saw helicopters leaving from the site they were just at, probably the other survivors fleeing "We also won't have any backup, everyone else is leaving or dead."
