" now we're in a world of our own that we've never experienced before . " ⊹˚₊
MOD Lake is only allowing 24 girls into their summer camp this year. How in the world did they manage to choose only 24 students out of 120?
It's a wonder why these girls...
The staffs at MOD Lake decided to keep their identities hidden from eachother and told them to go by their pass rank.
A few participants were suspucious. Having an entrance exam for a summer camp?
Just what kind of summer camp is this?
It was more of a competition than a vacation, so a few believed. Nonetheless, it was exciting... Something different.
When Seoyeon walked through the woods down a shallow pathway, she looked around cautiously. It seemed as if she could've died at any moment while out here.
Between the tall, spikey trees, an eerie and thick fog loomed. She shivered, "What the..." She looked up from the path and the fog cleared a bit.
She stopped in her tracks and stared at the small table just ahead of her. She approached it slowly and noticed that there was a white envelope sitting smack bang in the center.
She looked around, realising that the trees had stopped from here and she stood in a circular area filled with grass, with perhaps a radius of around seventy metres. It was so big that she thought she'd pass out if she ran from one side to the other.
Infront of her was a huge white-bricked building shaped like a block. There were small windows planted around it, so she tried looking in to see what was inside, but she couldn't see that far.
As she looked around further, it seemed as if she was entirely alone out here. She then focused her attention on the envelope that sat on the table infront of her.
She stared at it for a moment before picking it up. Her eyebrows furrowed together as she inspected it. "There's nothing..."
The envelope was blank and was only held together by a sticker on the back. The sticker was black with a logo on it that she had never seen before. A 3D white cube of some sort that looked like it was made out of three S's. She hummed as she unstuck it and pulled out the bit of paper that sat inside. She unfolded it and scanned her eyes over it.
It had a passage written on the lower half. One thing in specific caught her attention, though...
The unnecessarily huge number one at the top half of the paper with her name under it.
She mumbled as she read it aloud to herself, "Congratulations, Yoon Seoyeon. You're the first of twenty four girls to become a camper here at MOD Lake. From now and onwards, you will be known as "S1" between your fellow campers." She stopped reading for a moment and looked up in thought.
What...? This is the camp? She looks up at the huge block with white bricked walls and furrowed her eyebrows. And "S1"? Why can't i just use my normal name? Everything about this is just... Weird.
She continued talking to herself as she read on, "We wish that you do not reveal anything about your life outside of MOD Lake. Besides this, this camp will belong to you and your fellow campers for the next two months. It is your duty to figure everything out yourselves."
So,there's really NO ONE here at all?! Is this the only guidance i get? Her mouth fell agape as she thought about it. The next two months living here with twenty three girls... I wonder what's really inside that building.
"Multiple missions and challenges are planted around camp which must be completed. It is required for you to lead the rest of the campers to achieve this goal. Good luck." She folded the paper back up and looked up again, flopping her arms beside her.
"What?" She said aloud, "This has to be some kind of joke." She walked further into the open space that was filled with freshly cut green grass and looked around. The letter was still in her hand, slightly crumpled.
She was told that her luggage was going to be brought to her later in the day she arrived... But, she began to doubt it would ever be in her hands again. Only time could tell. She decided to just hang in there and explore in the time being.
One thing she did find weird, though, was how it was suddenly extremely sunny and the skies were clear. Just a moment before, she was shivering in foggy woods that felt like she would get swallowed up by God knows what.
It was a little strange, but she thought that everything was so strange at the moment and that was the least of her worries.
The next three minutes was spent walking around the huge building in the center of the grassy area. She wanted to atleast find something. Something that helped her figure out what the fuck was going on here.
Isn't this some kind of prison? And- Me, leading twenty three people to complete missions? Which i, by the way, have NO idea what they could be. They could depend on our lives or deaths, for God's sake! Plus, i have no idea who these people are or what they're capable of. They could be hopeless for all i know.
"Isn't twenty three too many?"She sighed loudly as she reached and turned the corner of the building. She stopped in her tracks as her mouth hung open in awe.
Before her stood a luxurious garden with a huge swimming pool in the middle. There was a seperate spot for basketball and volleyball. Another seperate area for an outdoor barbeque, and a fireplace that was big enough to fit twenty four people around.
"Wh... How big of a budget does MOD Lake have?! Jesus Christ..." Seoyeon looked around with wide eyes. She looked up at the big white building that stood next to her as she started to wonder how the inside would look.
Seperate bedrooms for all twenty four, maybe? Will they have stocked food for all of us for the next two months?! Perhaps i'm getting a little ahead of myself... Just what is this place and why does it feel like a fraud?
Seoyeon felt like it was too good to be true. She kept up her guard as she continued to explore this mysterious camp.
