15. Polaroid Camera + Watermelons

"SHOULD I GO JUST NOW?" S3 asked, looking at the rest of the campers for a collective answer.

"Yeah, sure." S5 said, "We should take a break for lunch before we do the next game, anyways."

So as everyone begun making their lunch, S3 headed out of the HAUS, the huge door slamming behind her. She winced as she heard the loud noise, "Jeez..."

For the first few seconds, she walked. But then she grew a little impatient, and was growing hungrier by the second, so she began running towards the entrance.

She had only been here once; When she arrived at this place. She wondered, since the Orange team was here while they were scouting for scrolls, did they see this?

She walked up the path and looked ahead, noticing the huge stone wall. This section of the wall had been covered up, originally.

She began to have deeper thoughts, how did they manage to make it look like a regular forest at first? How did none of us notice the humongous wall that we walked through? It really seemed like there was nothing but trees here... I wonder what's really on the other side.

She finally reached the wall and looked down at the keypad. It looked like an IPad, but it was floating and fixed in place.

She started typing out something that she had thought about recieving. Since it's only the second day and there's not much you can actually ask for, like her personal phone or even a single phone call to a relative. She doubted she could even ask for things like food; Not that they don't have enough food already.

So, she settled on a simpler answer. A polaroid camera? With lots of film. That's not too much to ask for, right? She thought as she finished typing, her finger hovering over the 'send' button. Should i chance it and ask for watermelons aswell? I've been really craving watermelons... I'm not sure if i can ask for two things, but oh well. The worst it can do is deny.

She typed in the watermelons, in addition to the polaroid camera and film, and sent in her request. She shifted her weight between her two feet as she waited for some kind of response, not knowing what would happen.

Eventually, a few seconds later, 'Request accepted' popped up on the screen. S3 smiled and looked around a little, "Uh, thanks. To... Whoever is in charge, i guess? And whoever is working with them? I don't know." She shrugged and started walked back down the pathway again.

When she arrived back at the HAUS, she was greeted by many who were waiting for their lunch to either finish cooking, or be made by someone else.

"What'd you ask for?" S9 asked once she was settled down. "Also, S4 insisted on making you lunch since you won the game, so you don't need to worry about making lunch for yourself." She smiled and nodded towards the kitchen.

S3 chuckled and glanced up at the kitchen before focusing her attention back on S9, "I wasn't sure what to request, so i just asked for a Polaroid camera with film and watermelons."

S9 laughed, "Watermelons? Good shout, S3-yah. What made you want to ask for a Polaroid camera?" She asked, listening intently (since she was one of those people who were waiting for someone else to cook for them).

S3 hummed as she thought of an answer, "Well... Firstly, the main reason i got it is because i want to keep memories of us having fun in here. I've not known you guys for long, but it really feels like we're a huge family living in this huge house, doesn't it?" She smiled, not realising how deep she had gotten.

She looked around at the few people who joined S9 in listening to her speak with an embarrassed smile. She chuckled, "Sorry, that was a bit cheesy..."

"No! It was cute. I feel the same way, you know." S10 reassured her as she pat her head gently.

"And the other reason?" S9 asked,

S3's expression grew a tad bit more serious than before as she prepared her answer, "Uh, well, the other reason was because of what would happen after we get out of here."

"And that is...?" S24 inquired with an eyebrow raised.

"Exactly... I don't know. None of us know." S3 answered, a little fustrated, "Which is why i want to have physical evidence of us being here."

S3 sighed and ended the conversation with a chuckle, "But mainly because i want to be reminded of these memories forever."

"S3-yah!" S4 shouted from the kitchen, "C'mere!"

S9 gave her an unreadable look and S3 stood from the sofa, walking towards the kitchen.

"It smells a little... Burnt." She said as she sat on a stool by the kitchen island.

S4 looked at her with an annoyed expression, "It's not burnt!"

hey yawl sorry this is a bit of a short one, but i have plans for the next chapter apready 😅

im actually starting school up tomorrow, so ill probably be a little busier since im going into highers (level 6) and need to take school seriously for real this year !!

but ill probably find time to update anyways, just a heads up though 😽
