"OKAY, PEOPLE, LISTEN UP." S5 gathered her teams attention by raising her voice, "Here's the plan," She begun to use her hands as she talked, explaining how they would go about things.
She decided to stay as one group for the time being. Perhaps splitting off into two groups in a little while. But for now, they would be searching their area in sections.
Sections of a section. Strange, isn't it?
Well, not really. S5 was super efficient when it came to plans. She had everything mapped out in her head, ready to go, while her brain worked quickly.
"For now, lets look around this section," She used her hands and outlined out the area they were at, near the starting point, "Try searching the lower areas first, okay?"
As the Green team were doing as S5 says, the Blue team was doing as S1 says. "I think we should start from the inside, and work our way outwards." S1 declared, walking at the front with S24 by her side.
When the Blue team reached the edge of the area, they looked up, their mouths agape as they stared at the huge wall infront of them. It was made of some sort of grey stone.
"That's gotta be atleast fifty metres tall." S18 mentioned as she looked up.
S24 walked towards it, her hand reaching out to touch it. It lay flat against the cold and smooth surface, "It's like... It's like it's been sanded down... It's as smooth as marble."
S1 walked up beside her and placed her hands against it aswell, then moving her head to the side and placing her ear against it. She then knocked her knuckle against it, "It's solid."
"They made sure we were unable to climb it." S22 said, shielding her eyes from the sun as she looked up the wall.
S3 sighed dramatically, "This is driving me nuts."
S8 sighed with her and slumped herself against S3's shoulder, "Tell me about it."
S1 whipped her head around and raised her balled up fist in the air, "Now isn't the time to be dwelling on it. There's nowhere else we can go, right? Plus, who knows what's on the other side of this wall?" She asked rhetorically, a small smile on her face, "Could be zombies. Stay positive, guys! Come on, lets start looking around. Lets split up and search around the area near the wall, 'kay?"
The girls smiled at their leader with appreciation, "Okay!" They replied.
"S3 and S8, stick together. S18 and S22, you guys stick together aswell." S1 ordered, "S24, you're with me. Lets go!" The girls split off and begun searching.
With the Yellow team, things seemed somewhat calm and positive enough. The girls appreciated how calm S14 was about the situation. She lead them with a sort of grace, everything flowing like a quiet stream in the countryside.
"Is everyone alright?" S14 asked, looking back at her team.
Oh, and that, also. The fact that her first priority was the girls. Especially since majority were so young. She couldn't bare to live with herself if something happened to them.
However, one thing in particular did keep her own mind at ease. The older girl that clung by her side, always. It wasn't just a mere distraction, but perhaps a reassurance that she would be there if something went wrong.
"Yep!" The four younger girls replied from behind, breaking off their chat to reply.
"So, i was thinking that we should check from the edges first. From left to right, sound good?" S14 asked, looking back at them once again.
"Yep!" They replied again as the team arrived at the left side of the section.
"Okay, how should we do this..." S14 muttered to herself, her eyes scanning the area and trees. She hummed, "Alright, let's split up for now." She declared with a nod. "S23, you come with me, okay? S12, stay with S15. S19 and S21, you guys stick together... I mean, not as if you wouldn't anyways," She mentioned, taking in the sight of their already hooked arms.
"Okay, start from the ground and go upwards. If you try to climb the trees, be careful and do not get hurt. I mean it. If anyone gets hurt, i won't forgive you." She threatened before walking away with S23.
So far, no one had found anything in particular that screamed "MISSION!!".
That was until S4 squatted by a humongous tree, her teammates leaving her slightly behind them all as they walked on.
She squinted her eyes, "What the... Is that-?" She reached down and grabbed a scroll-looking thing. It was small and hidden well enough so that if you merely walked passed it, you wouldn't notice it.
So much for bad eyesight...
Her eyes widened and she stood up instantly, "Unnie! Unnie! Unnie! Unnie! S5!" She yelled, running after the group of five infront of her.
S5 turned around with her eyebrows raised, mainly just at the volume of her voice. "Uhm, yes, S4?"
Her eyes darted down to the younger girls hands and widened, "Did you find that just now?"
S4 nodded with wide eyes aswell, the other team members hurrying her to open it.
"Should i-"
"Yes!" S7 interrupted, eager to see what's inside.
S4 took a deep breath, "Okay..." She undone the little piece of rope that tied it together slowly.
"Hurry it up, unnie." S20 waved her hands towards the scroll and looked up at S4 as she was taking too long.
S4 screamed suddenly, closing her eyes and holding the scroll away from her.
"What?" S5 asked, staring at her with a confused and slightly annoyed expression.
Birds chirped in the distance and crickets peeped from their sides as the five girls stared at S4.
S4 looked back and smiled sheepishly, "I- I'm just scared."
S5 sighed and mumbled, "Oh my goodness." She snatched the scroll from her hands and opened it herself. Her eyes quickly scanned the scroll after she unravelled it.
She sighed again, but in relief this time, "We've found a mission."
