AFTER LUNCH, THE GIRLS had gotten ready to play the Paranoia game.
The rules are pretty simple; Everyone gathers and sits in a circle on the floor. One person will start by secretly asking the person on their right a question. The person who is asked the question must answer, truthfully, aloud to the whole group (who don't know what the question is).
Next, someone throws, in this case, a slipper in the air. If it lands face up, the asker must repeat the question to the group. If it lands face down, the asker doesn't say anything and the group is left to wonder what the question was.
It goes on until all twenty four campers have answered atleast two questions. The reward, this time around, is whoever gets the slipper to land face down the most. If there are multiple people with the same answer (that is the highest), each will recieve a reward.
"Who wants to start?" S14 asks, looking around the circle of girls.
S12 sticks her hand up, "I'll start."
She leaned over towards S3 and whispered a question in her ear. S3 looked back at her with a wary look before answering, "...Yes."
S12's eyes widened. She nodded and then flung the slipper in the air. Everyone watched, waiting to see what would happen.
When it landed, it stood upside down. S3 stared at it as S12 began saying her question aloud. "Is there anyone here, in this circle, that you've known before meeting here?"
The room was silent for a while, the girls just looking at S3. "Well..." S4 spoke up eventually, "Who is it?"
"I only need to answer when i'm asked a question through the game, right?" S3 asked rhetorically, her mood shift noticable since she was usually cheery.
"Anyways... Uh, next person. S3, you ask a question to the person on your left." S5 explained, pointing towards S24.
The game went on for a while, the slipper landing mainly upwards, meaning the questions were kept a secret between the asker and the person asked.
"Why are they making us play this stupid game?" S8 face palmed after being exposed to having a crush within the group.
S19 cleared her throat quietly, leaning towards S21, "We all know who it is, anyway..." She mumbled.
S8's head, however, snapped up at the statement, "I heard that, you little-"
"Okay! Enough, S8." S1 placed a hand on S8's shoulder and told her to ask her a question since she was next.
S8 leaned towards S1 and cupped a hand around her ear, "Listen, unnie, i know you have a crush. But why do you like the person you like?" She whispered, a small smirk tugging at her lips.
Everyone listened intently, curious to know the answer, and perhaps the question.
S1 glared at the girl for a moment before taking in a deep breath, "I like taking care of them whenever i can, i guess..." Her eyes dart around the circle, her gaze lingering on S5 for a moment longer.
She looks down at her hands and continues, "They're really smart and effortlessly funny. They always make me laugh, even when i don't really want to. H... Their smile makes my mood feel brighter and their soft, deep voice makes me... Just-" She sighs, "Can i stop now?"
S8 giggled from beside her and threw the slipper into the air. It lands face down this time. Everyone listens in, although majority got the jist of it.
"Why do you like the person you like?" S8 announced, the corners of her lips turning upwards.
The group laughed lightly and teased S1 a little before moving onto the next person. S1 leaned towards S7 and whispered a question near her ear.
S7 laughed aloud and pretended to think about her answer, "Um, let me see... Maybe by either falling into a toilet head first or by S4's gut wrenching, ear piercing, lifespan reducing scream." She shrugged, "I genuinely couldn't tell you what would be worse."
