Past

Juvia:

On the way out of the door I got pushed down.

"Ow.."

A hand went forward and I looked up. Gray-sama was offering his hand to me >\\\<

I smiled and took his hand and he helped me up.

"Thanks."

"No problem" he replied.

We both left the school and ended up walking the same way.

"Well, looks like we live in the same direction."

I nodded shyly.

I felt someone tap my shoulder and I gasped after I turned.

"M-mom.."

She smiled sourly.

Tears threatened to pour out of my eyes.

"H-hey honey... I.. uh.. I need a place to stay for the night.. can you help me out?"

My bangs fell over my eyes to hide my tears.

"Yeah."

Gray:

Something about this lady really bothered me. And Juvia seemed sad by her.

"Ill meet you back at our old house then, Juvia."

Juvia flinched as her mom walked past her and out of sight.

Without thinking I put my hand on her shoulder and I whispered in her ear.

"I'm here for you."

Her head suddenly jerked up and her tears poured out of her eyes. She slowly turned her head towards me and I nodded. She rushed forward and hugged me tightly, crying into my chest.

I blushed but ignored it. I hugged her back.
