Elly's POV

I still can't believe what happened the other day. Silas confessed his attraction towards me and that left me miserable in thoughts. We slept in silence after that and today morning he went to his house. I couldn't face him so I asked dad to drop him and he did. I was now at the pool doing nothing in particular, I wasn't swimming nor anything. I kept staring at the water till I felt someone tapping my shoulder.

"Are you okay buddy?" My dad asked sitting next to me his legs in the pool just like me.

"I don't know" I answered with a shrug. My dad was the only person that I couldn't lie to.

"Who was the kid you came with yesterday?" He asked splashing water about.

"He's a friend or so I thought"  I was really tired of thinking about what happened.

"Your mother made something, you could grab some and feel better." He said and laid on the tilled floor. I wondered why she insisted in making anything when the nannys are there.

"Her food will make matters worse trust me" I said feeling more frustrated. My dad chuckled and got back to his sitting position.

"Something is bothering you buddy" he said with a concerned look. I knew he would be concerned but i never thought he'd realize this soon. Was it so obvious?

"Why are you so okay with your wife? I mean she left us for seventeen years and she suddenly pops up from nowhere saying that she is sorry and you forgive her, how?" I found myself asking. My dad gave me a small smile and sighed.

"There is a whole story behind that Elly, but if you really want to know then you should talk to 'my wife' and not me because it's not my story to tell." My dad answered all the while smiling and air quoting the words my wife.

"I am never talking to her, she can kiss my ass" I stated with a bored look. My dad chuckled before saying.

"I don't like it when you use such words buddy, words like ass, fuck excetra they don't suit you." I laughed at that. My dad was the sweetest father ever and he knew how to stop me from doing what he didn't like. I mean how do I say no to that now.

"I'll try my best not to use them." I said and my dad pulled me into a hug ruffling my wet hair making me giggle. We talked for some time and I turned my head when I felt someone staring.

I saw my mother wiping her tears and walking into the house. I didn't know why she was crying but I didn't care at the time . I have my dad and that's all I ever wanted right now.

I was walking down the street not sure where I was going. 'Twinketon' is the name of our town. Alot of people call it High society haven though because of how rich and hot people from our town are. I didn't want to use my car today because I felt like I needed fresh air. I walked to some side of town that I didn't know and fear began to creeple in my nerves and I felt sweat all over my body when I realized what side of town it was.

This was not our town instead it was another town 'Crystalbrook' a town that was scary as hell. I took a U-turn immediately and was about to bolt into a run when someone grabbed my hand.

"Hey richy, are you lost?" The guy asked when I turned around. The guy was taller than me and more musculine, his skin was pale and had grey eyes, he was attractive. He had tied his hair and wore a sleeveless shirt with dark pants and flats.

"Hi, can I help you?" I asked him. I didn't know what to expect but I knew what might happen and that's exactly what happened.

"You are in my boss's territory don't you think you should pay him a visit pretty boy." He said and I flinched at the words pretty boy. They didn't sound right coming from him. If it was Silas saying them am sure my heart would have danced. Why am I thinking about him in this situation Jesus!

I tried apologizing for being here and asked if he would let me go but he didn't and that's how I got myself in some dirty warehouse with more than twenty people staring at me like some piece of meat.

"Where did you get this fortune from, Sam?" The bald old man I presume was the boss asked the guy I came here with. The guy bowed his head before stepping back leaving me by myself.

"I'll take him to my room." The boss said and I felt myself shiver. My heart was pounding faster and I started feeling dizzy, my throat went dry and my knees turned jelly. Will I die today?

"He is mine, Grey." A deep familiar voice erupted from somewhere, people parted to give way to the person and when I saw who it was I felt relief not sure why, "the boy's mine" he said again.

"Dashiell..." I blurted before I could stop myself. Maybe I didn't know this guy much but seeing him here made me feel safe again. He beckon me to him and I didn't want anything else. Immediately I was standing by his side he kept his hand on my lower back sending jolts down my spine and butterflies in my stomach. We walked out of the warehouse in silence and he gave me an escort to my hometown.

"Thank you" I said my voice low as a whisper.

"Watch it next time" he said with his stoic expression as usual and I smiled. This was the second time Dashiell had said that to me but right now I didn't feel that he was being rude. I wondered who those people were and what was their relation with him. I mean he just said a few words and we were out of there and nobody dared to touch us. My hero!

Is that gay?

I now realize that I walked a very long distance, it was dark by the time we got to my home and I thanked Dashiell again although he said nothing this time but nodded. I was about to open the gate when he called.

"Elly" he knew my name, how?

"Yeah"
