Hello guys how was your weekend?

Elly's POV

I was laying on my bed waiting for Silas to get out of the washroom. When I got out of the car earlier, I saw him standing in the middle of the road with a bottle of vodka at hand. He had zero idea what he was doing there and when I offered to drop him to his house he insisted not to and instead he wanted to sleepover at mine. I couldn't just leave him there so I took with him along, asked dad if he could stay and here we are.

"Feeling better now?" I asked searching for some pajamas to give him. He leaned against the washroom door his head low and his hands crossed over his chest.

"Are you okay Silas?" I repeated now concerned. Oh he wasn't, I heard him sniffing and walked over to him placing a hand at his shoulder.

"What's going on? stop crying, please" I felt like I was going to cry too.

"Ye- um- yep..." He tried assuring but failed. Finally he gave up embracing me into a hug.

I was taken aback at first but I knew not to make this more worse. I hugged him back and we stayed in that very position in silence as Silas cried his soul out. I kept uttering soothing nothing to him as I pat his back drawing weird circle now and then. He eventually cooled off and pulled back, he took his pajamas and walked to the washroom again.

"Feeling better now?" I asked when he sat next to me on my bed. He nodded before laying down.

"How much are you worth?" He asked after a moment of silence. I laid next to him not sure why he asked such a question.

"Why do you ask?" I asked a mixture of surprise and shock evident in my voice.

"Dude, this house is massive, shiny windows everywhere. The front yard is so big it could fit a whole soccer field, and the fancy fountain right in the middle, spraying water all over. It's like a palace. The floors all marble, and the giant staircase that splits into two, just like in the movies. The chandelier hanging above that looks like it's made of diamonds or something. The living room with a gigantic fireplace, and the sofas are so soft you could sink into them and never want to get up. And the kitchen? It's got more gadgets and shiny appliances than I've ever seen. You even have a fridge that talks! Oh, and the backyard is like a whole other world. There's a pool with a waterfall and a slide, and a mini-golf course! Seriously, who the fuck is your father?" Silas ranted. I didn't know he had noticed all this though and hearing him describing my house makes me feel richer.

"My dad's the owner of the Apple inc." I told him in between laughter.

"That explains why," he hummed and said, "how do you not act rich?" He asked a shock expression displayed on his face which made me laugh even harder.

"How do rich people act?" I tried catching a breath but failed terribly.

"Like they own the world, you know like they can snap their fingers and instantly all the poor people disappear." He said laughing at his own explanation.

"Maybe it's because my father taught me not to act like a rich person but like a human instead" I said with a smile staring straight into his eyes.

"It's my parents' death anniversary today." He said with a small smile avoiding eye contact.

"Am sorry" I whispered. I didn't know how to deal with such situations.

"You won't hate me if I tell you what happened to them?." He asked slowly more like a whisper.

"Why would I hate you, I'd never hate you Silas." I assured him and tears started forming in his eyes.

"I killed them." He said looking into my eyes and I felt those honey balls drowning me. He didn't mean it right? But before I could say anything he said.

"You promised not to hate me remember?"

"I don't, it's- you-,,sil- why would you say that?" I stattered not sure which words to use.

"You promised not to hate me, remember?" He repeated  "then don't no matter what." He said slowly all the while maintaining eye contact. The room was softly lit by the glow of the bedside lamp. Silas kept his gave at me his eyes crinkled with genuine amusement and I could feel the tension in the air.

"Silas you okay?" I asked, noticing the prolonged silence.

He nodded, swallowing hard. "Yeah, just tired, I guess."

Silas shifted closer, our shoulders brushing. The contact sent a jolt through me making my pulse quicken. I turned to look at Silas, and our eyes locked. For a moment, the world outside ceased to exist.

Before I'd administer what was going on, Silas leaned in, closing the distance between us. His lips met mine in a soft, tentative kiss. Our lips touched, softly at first, like the brush of a feather. A shiver ran down my spine as his warmth enveloped me. He sucked my lower lip I closed my eyes without thinking. Then it hit me, what was I doing, of course I didn't kiss back but why was I trying to enjoy it?

The shock was immediate. I froze as my heart plummented at the realization of what he had done. A second later I pushed him away, scrambling back on the bed with wide eyes.

"What the hell, Silas?" My voice was a mix of confusion and anger. "What are you doing?"

His face burned with embarrassment and regret. "Elly, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—"

"You didn't mean to?" I cut him off, my voice rising. "We're supposed to be friends, Silas! I'm not into guys."

He swallowed and said  "I know, I just... I couldn't help it. I’ve had these feelings for a while, and being this close to you... I lost control."

I looked away, running a hand through my hair in frustration. "This changes everything. How are we supposed to go back to normal after this?"

His face displayed a mixture of hurt and thoughtfulness. "I don’t want to lose you, Elly. You promised not to hate me remember?"

I sighed, the anger in me giving way to a softer, sadder expression. "This is a lot to process Silas, I don't swing that way. I can't do this am fucking sure of that."

Silas nodded, his eyes forming tears. "You can take your time Elly, am not forcing you." he whispered.

"I don't want time Silas, I. Am. Not. Gay. Fuck! I can't even think of being one." I said throwing my hands up in frustration.

"I also didn't fucking want to feel this way towards you, you know." He yelled standing up.

"And you think that phrase will make my sorry ass take your shit Silas," I yelled back immediately regretting it. " You need to understand me Silas" I said lowering my voice.

"I like you Elly" he said, tears running down his cheeks.

"Get back to bed."
