Megan POV:

After the party and winter break I was grateful the girls were back in school because they'd been working my nerves the last two days of their vacation. Everyone was back on their routines and at work. Today, I was working from home and enjoying some quiet time with Nicki who was planning the new baby twins nursery and looking at things online. Secretly, I was excited that she was feeling more comfortable to make plans for the twins and look forward to baby shopping. I told her to make a registry to organize things but it was for Blue and Honey to start planning for the baby shower.

Mama Tina and Carol wanted to do a really big and nice one for her as it was the last one and because we literally had given all our baby things away so we were starting from scratch.

I felt my phone vibrate next to me and quickly put the ringer on and looked at the text thread.

Honey-Mama, Can you bring me my laptop at lunch time? I need it for English.

Me-Sure Boo.

Giselle-While you're on your way, can you bring some lunch?

Me-Lunch huh? We pay private school money and ya'll don't like the lunches?

Gia-It's okay but you know you love bringing us lunch and seeing our happy little faces.

Me-You're funny.

Blue-Yes! I've been wanting some fried chicken all morning Mama.

Gia- I wanted Chinese.

Honey- We just had Chinese

Me-Look if I bring lunch, its only one stop I'm making so get on one accord.

Blue-I say fried chicken or Mexican.

Honey-Umm... I can do fried chicken.

Giselle-Actually, yeah, fried chicken would be okay, side of macaroni.

Gia-Fine, I can get Chinese for dinner anyway.

I looked up from my phone and stood as Nicki came in putting her Ipad on the counter.

"What's up?" Nicki asked.

"The girls want lunch and I have to take Honey her laptop."

"Oh, what are you going to get?"

"Fried chicken."

"Hmmm...that sounds good with a bunch of hot sauce."

"Well, pop your shoes on and we'll go."

Nicki went to get her shoes and I went up to get Honey's laptop and the charger cord before going back to join Nicki by the front door. In the sprinter van, I gassed it up and we went into the chicken restaurant. Standing in line, Nicki was rubbing her bump and deciding on what she wanted while I texted the girls to ask what they wanted for the side. Nicki's phone rang and she said a few words before hanging up and sighing deeply.

"What?"

"My Dad is better as you know so Ming decided she wants to come visit since she missed Christmas."

"Oh...So will she be staying with us or your Mom?"

"Probably us, but if we get into it, she'll be at my Moms. Ugggh, we're like oil and water sometimes and I hate it."
