Lying next to Michael in the King size bed in his hotel room, it had been a hell of a day and night and I was exhausted.
Earlier at 11:15 am:
Walking with the cheer squad into our next competition space, I still was in pain and not really talking to Gia. Honey and Blue were the captains for the day and Normani was added for stunts. I saw the Moms in the stands and waved and saw my Boo, Michael sitting next to them with a smile. He got introduced to the family the night before and Padre' gave us her blessing. I knew she pulled his information before dessert was even over via Aunt Mel but I was happy we didn't have to hide since he just turned 18 and I thought Padre would have his head but they talked and she seemed to let it go as I would be 17 in June. Michael graduated last year due to his good grades and was working for his Dad, at a lucrative family business.
The team walked right to the mat because we were slotted wrong and were first but I was happy to have it over with. It hurt still to do the cheer, flips, and hold girls up for stunts. I was seeing stars for a moment once we left the mat. In the rest area, Coach gave me ice for my side and I excused myself to get some air. In the large foyer, Michael came over and hugged me.
"Hey Sweetie, you did amazing! You looked like you were hurting though."
"I am. My ribs are still sore and my muscles but it's okay. Mama gave me some pain meds this morning."
Michael kissed me and held me in a hug as we heard Darryl's voice. He walked past us with his friend and went inside. I felt Michael squeeze me and it hurt so I pulled away making him stop and jump back.
"I am so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you. I just want to ring his fucking neck."
"Babe, please don't. It's complicated. Believe me, it hurts and I hate seeing him as well."
"He hurt you. But, it's not worth it to make a scene. That gets handled privately." Michael said sighing.
"Did you manage to get a room on our floor at the hotel?"
"One floor up, I was able to get a nice suite. Big enough so we can share and such. Looking forward to that later as I heard room service in that hotel is really nice."
I smile and Michael hugged me and gave me an extra peck on the lips before I had to go back in and Michael went to get a snack. Inside, Honey was by the door getting some water and spoke to me.
"Gia still mad at you?"
"Not really. She's annoyed I didn't tell her about my boyfriend."
"I mean you didn't tell none of us. Also is he really a fresh 18? He looks 20."
"He's 18, I saw all his paperwork besides you had BioChem with him last year, did you forget?"
".....Oh yeah! He was so freaking smart, he would correct the teacher. How come he never did extra activities? He was like a ghost when school was over."
"His Grandpa was ill so he was spending time with him and helping his Mom."
"Oh, Does he treat you right?"
"Like Padre' treats the Moms." I reply with a smile.
"Awww. I'm so happy for you!" Honey squealed. "Just don't get pregnant."
"Tell that to Gia. I take my pill."
Before Honey could say anything, Coach waved at us to come over. We went back and continued the competition that soon ended after another 4 hours and we placed second over all and first in the captain challenges. The Moms gave us flowers and Padre took us to eat at a hibachi place. Poor Mommy couldn't take the smell after five minutes and excused herself to sit in the van saying she was going to check in with Nana who was watching PapaBear. Aunty Ming spoke reminding me she was there saying Mommy needed to drink that tea blend she brought from Trinidad to help her. Ma asked Ming more about it and Mama came back after checking on Mommy and we started getting our food.
Padre' paid and we went outside where Mommy was standing by the van texting on her phone. She smiled at us but frowned at Mama and told her to 'get her little friend' while waving her phone in her face. Mama took the phone and sighed and looking at it. I gave Mommy a hug and prompting everyone to start hugging each other with their copy cats selves.
"Wowww, y'all are so fake!" I tease.
"Please, I can hug my family. Ma runs hot too, like a heater." Blue said laughing. "It's nice."
"Not like Mommy, I'm surprised you have this jacket on with the babies making you hot." Honey said rubbing Mommy's bump.
"Your Mama puts me in a jacket everyday, like I'm PapaBear but I can't really zip it up so that helps." Mommy said sticking her tongue out at Mama.
"Oh. We need to get you a new coat Nic, Can't have you catching a cold. Let's take the girls back and we're going to the Mall and then we can go to the hotel gym." Mama said with a grin.
Mommy whined getting in the van and we went back to the hotel. I wanted to talk to Gia but Darryl sneakily snatched her up in his room on our floor and I knew she'd be gone till the morning. Honey, Blue, and Normani decide to go the Mall as well to get outfits for Blue's award ceremony. Padre' asked if I wanted to go and I shook my head and said I wanted to shower and chill as I was still sore. She told me that I could have whatever I want from room service and went into her room. In my room, barely out of the shower and in a robe, Michael came in with flowers for me and some whipped cream. I laughed asked why he had it and he said he was going to have his 'dessert'. I blushed as it would be our first time and I was grateful I kept up with my waxing and such. We snuck off to his room and he wasted no time scooping me up in his arm and kissing me while locking the door.
