Iris POV:
We made it to practice and changed into something comfortable to practice in, once we did that we decided to get some more practice in while waiting for my dad.
"Remember we have to keep moving in a circle" I reminded after getting him in the chest which in a tournament would've gotten me a point
"You know i did make it to the finals in the all valley tournament" he also reminded me
"That's because you didn't have to go through me" I mocked and he just laughed and we kept practicing
"Oi where have you two lovebirds been i haven't seen either of you all day i had to practice alone" Sam interjected now walking toward us coming out the house
"Sorry, we went to the beach" i told her
"Without me?!" she exclaimed hurt we didn't bring her along
"I didn't bring you because we were meeting miguel there, he wanted to apologize for everything and i didn't think you want to be around him right now considering you were still pretty hurt over the break up" and she fell silent at my explanation, indicated she wasn't exactly ready to talk to him again just yet
"Did he say anything about me?" she finally asked
"Just that he was really sorry for what he did and he wanted to make it right somehow" I didn't know if i wanted to tell her just yet about miguel hanging out with another girl.. Or the fact I'm friends with said girl he's hanging out with so I just left it at that. She only nodded at my words before joining us to practice before my dad came to get us started on the lesson
We took a quick break before robby had came up to me
"Hey iris.. I just wanna thank you" He started off
"For what?" I tilted my head in curiosity
"Last week i had no hot water, this week i have a jacuzzi in my backyard" He laughed and i smiled
"I wouldn't get too excited i saw a dead possum in there last week" I half joked and he just softly chuckled "Jokes aside, we love having you here robby i love having you here its honestly a really fun experience and you needed the help so of course i wanted you to stay with me, you're always welcome here anytime you need it" and he gave me a loving smile
"Could you be any more perfect" he asked with the most serious look on his face and i chuckled "I'm nowhere near perfect keene trust me"
"I'm still here you know"
"Sorry sam-" We both said in unison before laughing
"Don't be its cute and i like seeing my sister happy" she smiled and we just talked a bit more before my dad came in
We turned around seeing him talking to what looked like possible future students we looked at each other hopefully but we lost our hope hearing the end of the conversation
"Come on let's go check out that place with the snake" one of the boys said and they both left
"Assholes." I commented watching them leave while my dad just had a disappointed look on his face
"Maybe it's for the best they leave anyway, they didn't give me a good vibe from the start" robby said and i nodded and we turned back to practice
just a lil timeskip I'M SORRY FOR THE TIMESKIPS OKAY I'M TRYNA GET TO THE POINT
After practice we changed into some nicer clothes and went off to the valley fest since my dad wanted us to give a demonstration of what we learn at miyagi-do to attract more students, we were behind the stage in a tent like thing getting some last minute practice in when my dad came up to us
"Hey guys thanks for doing this. How are you feeling?" He asked us
"Its short notice but i think we got it" Robby told him, a bit nervous but hopeful this could work
"Good"
"I was thinking for the finale, me and iris could do some sort of kick flip like a silhouette one" Sam suggested and i nodded indicated i was up for doing that
"Nah, don't worry about the finale. I got it covered" My dad told us and we just nodded wondering what was he up to
"What's that for" robby asked pointed at the block of ice
"That? You'll see"
The 3 of us gave each other a look saying "what is this man up to" but we just shrugged it off and went to go prepare for the presentation

Night fell upon us as the sun started going down and we were now on the stage ready for our presentation, the last act had just finished and the announcer was now on stage
"All right all right all right, coming up next do i have a treat for you, please direct your attention to the larusso auto booth for a special presentation from miyagi-do karate" Applause rang through the crowd after she spoke and every diverted their attention to us
It's showtime baby
Everything we practiced we poured into this moment, making sure every move was synchronized, sharp, timely, and perfect. Every move we made was flawless. And then it was time for the finale, but then just as my dad prepared it the lights shut off and a loud music came and that's when i saw it. A bunch of students are running in chanting "Cobra kai" over and over. And who did I see front and center? Miguel. I can't believe he did this just after he so called wanted to make things right between us.
"What the hell is going on here?" I heard from my dad
"Cobra kai stealing the spotlight as they always do." I sighed in utter frustration. I couldn't believe this was happening right now. Our hard work going down the drain
"Cobras show them what real karate looks like" I heard johnny command them and they started putting on their own presentation. I didn't even want to watch anymore i just looked away
When i finally looked up i saw that johnny had broken a bunch of cylinder blocks that were lit in flames causing the crowd to roar and chant cobra kai. Once the presentation finished my mom came over to comfort my dad and pull him away and me sam and robby gave one last look to which miguel noticed we were in the crowd and tried to give an apologetic look but we left before anything else could happen
This was not how I wanted my night to go.
A/n: sorry for the short chapter today but this was a continuation for the previous one!! the next one should be slightly longer but i need to know, do you guys prefer longer chapters or shorter ones? Lmk! i kinda liked writing like this tho it only took me about an hour to write (granted i was constantly getting distracted and this wouldve been done earlier) but still i enjoyed writing like this it took a load off me, but which one longer or shorter chapters??
