Iris POV:
The next day rolled around and to say I was excited is an understatement, I still couldn't believe Robby had asked me on a date. Granted the timing could have been better but it's better late than never, right? Unfortunately, I still had to tend to my other duties like I had practice today. I slipped on a comfortable pair of shorts and a tank top with some sneakers and of course my classic flannel tied around my waist. I made my way downstairs to get some food for fuel then headed out the door. I heard some noises from the backyard and peaked curiously and what I saw almost made my heart... Sink? It was my sister talking to robby. And they both seemed to be smiling... I could only describe how I felt with one word. Jealous. Why does my sister always get all the attention? They must've noticed I was there because I heard a voice call my name and it snapped me out of my thoughts.

I had plans for the weekend

But wound up with you instead (ah-ah, ah-ah)

"Iris? You alright?" It was Robby waving a hand worriedly in front of my face and I immediately shook my head "I'm fine i just zoned out for a moment that's all" I quickly lied so no one would suspect anything. Thank the gods I was a good liar.

And you were there on my lonely nights, yeah, keeping me together

So wouldn't it make sense if I was yours

"Oh okay.. Well we're still on for later right?" He asked me with a little smile forming on his face and my feeling of jealousy I felt earlier began washing away. "Yeah of course I wouldn't miss it for the world," I smiled back, quoting what he had told me the previous night. For a while we were silent until i broke the silence

Friends, just for now

Yeah, but friends don't say words that make friends feel like more than just

Now I'm over pretending, so let's put the end in friends

"So where's my dad taking you now?" I asked curiously wondering what my dad was up to for this lesson

"I have no idea he didn't tell me" He replied back

"Oh look at this" a voice rang out and both turned around to see it was my dad carrying some bags and what looked like a cooler "My current student and my former student, you know if you wanna join us iris there's still time, you too sam" my dad persuaded wanting us to join

"I'm going to the mall with mom and grandma" My sister replied back stating she already has plans for the day to which my dad gave a good luck look before responding "Oh that's good just text me if there's any bloodshed" my dad joked but also being serious "what about you iris, care to join us?" My dad looked to my direction

"Ah no thanks i have plans myself, i haven't hung out with miguel eli and demitri in a while so i'm gonna head over to theirs and hang out with them for a while" I said once again, lying and was actually going to practice at cobra kai

"Well have fun and be careful" my dad told me "give me a hand here robby we're gonna take the suv" he said handing some stuff to robby

"Bye sweetheart" my dd told us both
