Stella was tossing and turning in her bed for more than an hour. She had just come back to her hotel room after a long day shooting. She changed, showered, had a quick drink, dropped her dead body on the bed, and pulled the covers up. She tried to sleep. She tried to close her eyes and let her mind drift away, but it didn't work at all.
She kept thinking of the gossip she heard around the location. She was the star, but the eyes were following someone else. Someone who was her personal guard and she knew why they were eyeing him.
Yeah, he was dead gorgeous. But that wasn't the only reason. The video captured at the airport the night before was going viral. People were asking who the hell was that fine man with a gentle attitude. The video was made with edits, music, screenshots, and comments while slow-motioning it. How he pulled Stella away from danger and held her safe. How he rushed to her fans and made sure they were okay and helped them up. How he walked back confidently to Stella and how he had a stoic yet attractive face.
Stella's phone was in her hand, lighting up her face in the darkness of her room. She scrolled down those edits nonstop. He was literally everywhere. It was just a video of not more than thirty seconds, but the edits were made in minutes!
Her fans were a little scary with how they managed to get all the info about Changbin. Info that Stella herself didn't know. She even doubted if her manager Hajoon who hired Changbin knew that info himself.
So, Changbin turned out to be a very very well-known man in his work. She had no idea how her fans got that info but he appeared to be only handling high-profile men, politicians, political refugees, and even ministers and the President's kids as well. He participated in the protection of many foreign diplomats and even was the head of the security team accompanying top-level international criminals that no one wanted to get involved with. He was the best of the best when it came to his job.
So, why someone like him was protecting an idol?
Scrolling deeper into his posted info, Stella was shocked to see his personal info up there. He came from a small province called Gurye. A simple family of his parents, who worked as teachers in the local school, and his boy younger sibling. And apparently, Stella's fans found out he once had a girlfriend back in his hometown. How the hell do they know that?
She found his social media accounts links, posted by her fans. Her curiosity took her there to check what he shared. But she found almost nothing. He doesn't seem to be using them much. She found some old photos from back when he was a high school student. How cute he was!
He looked like he was a goofy teen with lots of friends and a happy simple life in a quiet remote town. Then, why did he choose that line of work? A dangerous bloody one that looked like the opposite of his younger fluffy self.
Stella huffed and locked her phone before throwing it on her pillow. She had been occupied by stalking her personal guard for so long that she passed her bedtime. She had to sleep cause she was going to have a very long day shooting the next day. She turned to her side and cuddled herself. Her eyes fell on the opposing wall and she found herself thinking all over again.
It was the wall separating his room from hers. She pouted, remembering the look he gave her and the heavy sigh he let out when he realized he was sharing a suite with her. She knew he wanted to object but swallowed his objection in order not to upset her like earlier on the plane. But why was he so stiff?
She was doing to him exactly the same she used to do to Haewon. He was receiving the same treatment. When abroad, she always kept her the closest. When at hotels, she always kept her in the same suite or even the same room with her, because hotels were the worst and she had multiple unfortunate events before when some obsessed fans broke into her room.
After all, he was her personal guard, not some security team member. His job was to stick to her and to stay by her side!
Stella chuckled. It was just a week before when she didn't feel comfortable about the idea of a man living with her even for her own protection, but now, she was upset cause that man seemed to be the one uncomfortable sharing a plane booth and a hotel suite with her.
How ironic!
