[2008]

The oppressive heat had Soohe skin sweating. "Busan weather is really bad. I need to start my skin treatment right away."

she spoke in a delicate tone, tossing herself onto the plush sofa in her short, pink satin robe, she resumed reading her favorite book, her eyes scanning the pages in the luxurious, spacious room. Marble floors, simple yet elegant decor, and large, shiny windows creating a beautiful vibe.

On the same sofa Soohe's son hyun-ji, sitting there, his hands moving with focused intensity as he sketched across the paper in a gentle, professional manner. Sensing his mother's gaze, he looked up.

"what are you drawing?" Soohe asked.

Keeping his eyes on the drawing, hyun-ji ignored his mother's question, knowing how much he disliked being interrupted during his favorite pastime.

"Hyun-ji, show me your drawing?" Soohe insisted.

"It's not finished yet, just wait." He replied, annoyed.

"No, I want to see it now."

" fine!" He presented the paper to her, It was a beautiful portrait of Soohe herself.

"Oh, it's me! You were drawing me!"

Hyun-ji blushed. "Yeah, you are easy to draw..."

"What do you mean by I'm easy to draw!"

"Anyways you could have waited until I'm done...it could have been a better surprise"

"Speaking of surprises, I'm the one who should be surprising you, It's your fourteen birthday! I'm still deciding what kind of cake to bake."

"Noo, Let's just buy it.".

"Oh come on! Hyun-ji. We've discussed this before, It's hot outside, but I promise you'll love this cake, I even bought the ingredients." she said, gesturing toward the kitchen counter.

He shook his head. "No, let's just buy it. You always bake, but it never turns out right, just accept that you're a horrible baker!" he teased.

"Fine fine, If that's what you want, just tell the guard what flavor you want and he'll buy it."

"No, I want to chose it myself, I'll go whit him."

"There is no way I'll let you go without me!.....ugh alright." she got up from the sofa and headed to the dressing room.
"Look at you Hyun-ji, Instead of letting your mother rest her feet, you're making me go out in this hot weather" she sighed, hoping he might change his mind but he continued drawing unbothered.........

"Mom, hurry up, It's not like we're going to a party, we're just stepping out for a few minutes." Hyun-ji complained.

His mother replied arrogantly. "I'm a celebrity darling, the paparazzi are everywhere, what if they catch me looking anything less than perfect? You know my haters are just waiting for the smallest slip up to mock me....tell me the dress is beautiful isn't?"

Hyun-ji couldn't help but roll his eyes at his mother's vanity. "It's ugly." he responded.

They went outside the hotel where a luxurious black car had arrived to pick them up, the guard dutifully opened the car door for them......

When they approached the pâtisserie, passersby couldn't help but admire Soohe's beauty and style, despite her age she looked stunning in a short, floral dress, sunglasses perched atop her head as she confidently held her son's hand, Hyun-ji anxiously lowered his hat, cause he noticed paparazzi taking pictures from a distance. The only thing he hated about going out with his mother was the unwanted attention but he never told her.
