The Bargainer marched down the long hallways, holding a golden paper contract as he walked slowly. He finally rounded the corner to a large wooden door with a brass plaque directly above it, labeled, The Keep. He swung the door open and looked around.
"My, my, it's been ages since I've been in here," He muttered, brushing cobwebs off the back of the door. "How are cobwebs even in this vast dimension?"
Tom made it up to the door behind The Bargainer, "Whatcha doin' Sal? You haven't needed to use this place in a long time."
Tom breached into the room as The Bargainer made his way further in also. The room was taller than either could see, with shelves lining the walls. Within each shelf was a golden piece of paper, each collectively illuminating the room.
And in the center of the room sat a large, spruce table with a strange cauldron in the middle, golden liquid sloshing around within it.
"I have someone I'd like to speak with," The Bargainer stated. "And of course, I have a contract to store." He grinned down at the contract with the name signed at the bottom; Killua.
He glanced around the shelves, squinting as he looked around.
"Oh dear," He commented. "It seems this room hasn't gotten an update in several mortal age cycles..."
"So a few years?" Tom asked.
"Yes, yes," The Bargainer replied before trotting to a large white sheet at the back wall.
He pulled a golden pen off of the desk in front of the white sheet before scanning his eyes across the dimensional zip codes and stopping in an empty space below JJ-025. He quickly jotted down the new dimension name and the room automatically accommodated the new edition, a new shelf appearing directly below the line of around twenty empty ones.
"This will make quite the nice edition," he commented, marching up to the empty shelf and slipping the new contract into place.
It pulsed golden once before fixing its position as The Bargainer walked back to the spruce table in the middle. He stared at the large cauldron, thinking to himself... reminiscing.
"I haven't needed to do this since before Sam's leave of absence," The Bargainer commented. "How drastically different things have been since then..." He shook off the feeling before twirling his fingers around, a silver dagger materializing into his grip, amethyst-colored gems, spiked out, lining the blade. "This is the dagger of my brother, and the mercenary god of Energy, Uximes. Using this blade of his, I invoke his spirit to come to me, no matter when, no matter where..."
The Bargainer slowly dipped the blade into the golden liquid and Tom laughed.
"What is it, Tom?" The Bargainer questioned, now stepping away from the cauldron as the liquid began bubbling, turning a violet hue.
"Your deal with Killua counts as conspiracy," Tom commented. "So wouldn't that mean Uximes has the right of persecution towards you?"
The Bargainer thought about it, "You may be right... But I know how to handle myself in these situations."
The Bargainer motioned for Tom to follow him and the two walked to the front of the room, where a rectangular, golden gateway was sitting directly in front of the door, Uximes standing sternly and angrily.
"Hello, Salice," Uximes greeted cautiously, taking a step forward. "Long time no see, huh?" His face then contorted angrily. "You have some guts trying to call me. I heard about the deal, we all heard about the deal." He shook his head. "You thought it would go behind our backs, didn't you?"
