JJ-026.
"God damnit..." Chloe muttered, staring at the screen. "Kelvin, I majored in photography with a minor in science, I don't know what the hell I'm looking at right now!""This data is telling us that they are still alive," Kelvin explained.
"So we know for sure?" Chloe mumbled.
"Yes," Kelvin stated. "We may even be able to tap into Casey's feed."
"We don't have time for that!" Chloe exclaimed. She began thinking as she stared at the random data plastered across her screen. She began to think about something, when her eyes finally widened. She stood up before rushing over to the gateway. She popped the panel next to the keypad open before quickly pulling a small thumb drive out of it and rushing back to the laptop.
"We already checked the leap data," Kelvin stated. "It's recorded to be a random probability, which we've already checked. They aren't there, Chloe."
"I'm not checking for that," Chloe stated. "I just realized that this thumb drive contains the code responsible for the scanning stuff. Y'know, the part that scans their blood and locates their home dimension?"
Kelvin nodded.
"Do we have a science-y name for that?"
Kelvin shrugged.
"Okay, well if we tweak it, we can locate where they are and not where they're from," Chloe explained.
"Yes, but how do we get to them and then get back?" Kelvin asked. "They would have come back if it were feasible."
"We engineer a portable gateway," Chloe stated. "Like a portal gun or something!"
Kelvin thought about it, "A self-contained, portable, multi-probable, multi-dimensional leaping device..."
"Yeah," Chloe said. "You didn't have to say it in fancy terms..." She shook her head before looking at the gateway. "We're gonna come get you guys..."
"Get me higher!" Michael exclaimed, holding Jade's phone as high as possible as Jade levitated him.
"Dude, you're already pushing my range!" Jade hissed, exhausted.
"Let him down," David growled.
Jade slowly lowered Michael, who stumbled backwards on the shelf. David swiped the phone from his hand and looked down at it before back at Jade, Michael and Ben.
"I'll be back," He stated, before coiling his body up, ready to spring into the air.
He sprung into the sky, soaring hundreds of feet into the air as Jade, Michael and Ben watched in awe.
"That's so cool..." Ben muttered.
"I just hope he doesn't break my phone," Jade huffed, slumping into a seat.
"That's what you're worried about?" Michael questioned. "We've been trapped here for god knows how long and you're worried about your goddamn phone?"
Jade rolled her eyes, "Am I not allowed to be?"
"There are other, more important things to deal with, Jade!"
"And I AM worried about everything else! I just don't think spending my time on it is important!"
Jade pushed herself up as she glared at Michael, who took a step towards her.
"I AM worried, Mike!" she hissed. "I'm worried about Luke, I'm worried about Zee, I'm worried about Josie, I'm worried about Chloe! I'm worried that we're never gonna get out of here, you piece of shit, but maybe I find it easier to occupy my mind with less worrying things!" She was now crying.
