Killua tossed and turned on the couch in the compartment under the stairs. He groaned quickly as he remembered everything. It was all his fault.
All his fault.
All his fault.
ALL HIS FAULT.
He sprung up in a cold sweat and glanced around the compartment. He slipped off of the couch and rubbed his head, before glancing at the mask on the floor next to the couch. He shook his head when he heard a creak from the hatch that led to the vents.
He tensed up and quickly snapped his attention to it.
"Mornin'," a familiar voice stated.
Killua stared at David, who's hair was frizzy, as if he were just electrocuted. David then brushed his hair back to normal, before stepping into the room and sitting on the couch next to Killua.
"Did you..." Killua muttered.
David shook his head.
"Minus and I actually talked. He's pretty chill. He knocked some sense into me."
Killua nodded, "That's good."
"Sorry for being an angry old man all the time," David chuckled.
"It's all good," Killua stated. "I'm older than you, afterall."
David examined Killua, "I never said it but congrats on the transition."
Killua rolled his eyes, "Catching up for lost time, I see?"
David shrugged, standing up, "Just wanted to check in. I'm outta here, Minus and I are gonna play some Generic-Racing-Game™. The true test to see who's better."
Killua chuckled, "I'd pay to see that."
David walked to the hatch, turning his head to Killua again. "See ya... Killua." He got ready to leave, but stopped. "Sorry, that felt wrong. See ya, Candy-Man!"
"See ya, David," Killua sighed as David left the room. "God, I need some better security..."
He slowly stood up and turned to the hatch. He climbed through and began making his way back to his office.
Killua stared into his office. There was nothing he needed to do anymore. Nothing at all.
He slowly began walking to the desk. He opened one of the drawers and knelt down before grazing his hands across the cassette tapes. He finally grabbed onto one and pulled it out before looking down at it. Joan Jett. Killua grinned as he closed the drawer, before walking to one of the large monitors. He lifted up the lid, before slipping the cassette tape into the player and separating from the station and walking back to his desk. He sat down and began to flip through his journal. He began mindlessly jotting something down, when someone came into the room.
"Jade," someone stated.
Killua glanced up, "It's Killua—" Tom was standing there, his arms crossed. "Oh, hello Tom."
"Yeah," Tom stated, strolling into the room. "Salice asked me to come down here and talk to you about something."
Killua closed the journal and stood up, "Yeah?" He was ready for another fight.
Tom put his hand out, signifying for Killua to stop, "Calm down. It's actually about the descendent of Alba."
Killua tilted his head slightly, showing obvious confusion.
"The rainbow entity," Tom stated, walking further into the room, now looking around.
"Oh," Killua commented. "Wispy..." He walked away from the desk before lifting the lid to the station and popping the cassette out. "We haven't seen him for some time."
