"Mama, Calm down," I said to an angry Kandi.

"Nawl, Fuck that, I haven't talked to my mama in years. Why all of a sudden, she wanna come to the house. And then disrespect Crystal like she's fucking nobody" She said aggressively turning on her right blinker.

We just came back from our anniversary trip and it was amazing. I got Kandi's attention away from our parents. Don't get me wrong I'm pissed that our mothers came to the house unannounced.

Plus disrespecting Crystal. But Kandi needed a vacation. She's been working every day so have I. So we both needed this vacation.

However, as soon as we got in the car she rallied up again. I don't even know why would I let her. She already has road rage on a normal day. So I'm holding on with my life right now.

"Kandi this is not the way to our house. Do wanna see Crystal first" I asked nervously

"No, we're going to our parent's house. We go to my mama's house first" She said turning to Mama Joyce's neighborhood.

When we were kids I loved Mama Joyce and she loved me. But after we announced that we were together as a couple. She flipped out. She didn't come to our wedding. Matter of fact none of our parents came.

It had really upset Kandi. Kandi of course invited her mom. She called and called but Mama Joyce would not answer the phone or talk to her. I wasn't really shocked that my mother didn't come. I knew she wasn't coming.

We pulled up to her mama's house. Kandi quickly got out of the car with me quickly behind her. I grabbed her arm and looked at her. "Baby imma need you to calm down," I said rubbing her sides.

"Mika-"she said before I interrupted her. "Kandi I understand you're upset. But I don't need you to get slapped by your mother. Besides, she might be happy to see you."
I said.

She gave me a straight face. "Tamika, we haven't talked since the night before our wedding. I don't think she will be happy but I don't give a fuck" She said rolling her eyes.

"Kandi don't get fucked up. Roll them damn eyes again" I said letting her go. She sped walked to the door and started knocking.

After a few seconds, the door flew open. "Kandi, you finally decided to see me," She said smirking. "We need to talk," Kandi said blankly.

"Come on in Scott's," she said rolling her eyes.

We didn't walk in far because I think we all knew this wasn't gonna last. "Where were you" Mama Joyce asked.

"Well if you were always contacting me you would know that we were on vacation for our anniversary," she said crossing her arms.

"Well that little ass girl acted like she couldn't talk," she said. "Well, you probably made her nervous and scared since she didn't know you. Thank god Trina came." She said sassily.

"Who was that girl anyways" she said looking at Kandi.

"Well, that's-"I spoke up.

"I wasn't talking to you Tamika," she said holding her hand up.

I shut the fuck up and leaned back and watched. "That's our new little," Kandi said.

"Why the fuck would you want one of those thangs," she said throwing her hands up in the air.

"First, she's a human. Second, having a little is not as bad as you think." Kandi said smartly.

"Kandi get the hell out of my house. I wanted to see if you changed but you're the same so bye" she said ushering us out.
