I heard my phone buzzing on my nightstand. I kept my eyes closed and searched for my phone.
I grabbed my phone and answered the phone without looking at the caller ID. "Hello," I said.
"Hey girl, I'm outside" I heard my makeup artist say. I looked at the time and saw she was on time.
"Oh shit, I'm on my way," I said getting out of bed. Tamika and Crystal were still asleep. I quickly brushed my teeth and went downstairs.
I opened the door and saw Tae standing at the door. "Hey girl, I woke up late," I said letting her in.
"It's fine," she said walking up to my makeup room with me. "Is Jodie coming?" she said getting her supplies out.
"I'm right here," she said making us jump. "Damn how did you get in," I said
"Remember kids lock your door," she said looking at her phone like she was recording. "Oh shit," I said.
"So Kandi what type of hairstyle do you want" Jodie said looking at me.
"I don't know just freestyle," I said looking at my phone.
"You want a natural look?" Tae said looking at me. I nodded.
And they got to work. "So where's Tamika and Crystal" Tae asked me.
"Sleep, Tamika just have to go to the restaurant before it opens," I said. "Baby Crystal still be trying to bossy y'all around," Jodie asked me combing my hair.
"You already know it, I don't know where she gets it from," I said. Then the atmosphere stops. I look at Tae and Jodie and they look at me like really nigga.
"whattt," I said sounding guilty. " You know she got it from you," Jodie said continuing on my hair.
"I am not bossy..." I said. "Yeah okay," They said continuing with the tasks they had.
Then Tamika came in with some food. "Hey y'all," she said giving me the plate. "Hey Tamika," They said.
"Thanks, baby, where's Crystal," I said grabbing my fork. "Sleep, I'm finna wake her up." She said.
"Ok, but wait before you leave," I said stopping her. " Wassup baby," she said. " Am I bossy?" I asked.
She looked at me and laughed then walked away closing the door. I gasped.
"I don't care what y'all say," I said crossing my arms. Jodie and Tae laughed.
Fifty minutes later I heard running footsteps. "Baby stop running," Tamika said. Afterward, I heard repeatedly knocks. "Who is ittt" I sang playing with Crystal.
"Pooh," she said. Me, Jodie, and Tae laughed. "Kandi, y'all gotta start calling her by her real name," Tae said doing my eyebrows.
"I can't help it," I said laughing "I don't know a pooh," I said out loud. She opened the door and walked in with Tamika behind her.
"Uht I didn't tell you to come in," I said giggling. "Me wanna come in," she said climbing on my lap.
I help her up. I looked at her outfit and you could tell that Tamika dressed her. "Tamika really?"
