Amends

Muffet was at the register doing her job as Y/N sat across from Frisk and Chara. A small silence fell into the three as Chara seemed nervous.
"So um, Y/N..." Chara stuttered nervously. Y/N gave a sincere smile.
"Yeah, Chara, what's up?" Y/N smiled as Chara scratched the back of her head with a nervous expression.
"Uhm so... did asgore... Y'know take your soul?" Chara asked as Y/N eyes widened in surprise. Frisk butted in with an embarrassed look.
"Chara! You can't ask that?"
"I-I'm sorry!" Chara apologised as Y/N started to laugh causing the two sweatered females to look at him.

"Don't worry about it. Let's be honest, I've asked weirder things like whether or not you two were dating. Because it sure looks like it..." Y/N whispered the last part so they couldn't hear. "But yes Asgore did in fact take my soul."
"And he's coming here now..."
"Sure is." Y/N smiled. "At least that's what muffet said."
"And he killed you... so... what are you going to do to him?" Chara asked as she felt uneasy. Once this was brought up Frisk looked to Y/N filled with nervousness. Y/N just sat there and gave them a closed eyed smile.
"I'm going to kill him."
"What?!" The two got up from their chair. Chara was ready to attack Y/N as Y/N looked at them before bursting out in laughter.
"Hahaha. The look on your faces!" Y/N laughed as Chara seemed annoyed whilst frisk blew out a sigh of relief. "No, I already forgive asgore."
"But why? You don't know if asgore's changed. He could still be out there killing children." Chara reasoned as she began to feel guilty for asgore's actions. Y/N sighed.

"Your right... I don't know if he's changed or not. But in reality it doesn't matter all that much. You see if I don't forgive asgore then it would just create a cycle of hate." Y/N explained as Frisk perked up.
"Cycle of hate." She asked. Her nativity made Y/N chuckle a little.
"Yes, cycle of hate. You see when someone commits an act of violence on another then the victim of the act grows hateful and begins to want revenge and then commits an act of violence which causes the whole cycle to go over and over again." Y/N explained as the two patiently listened. Y/N was a smart guy, his experiences made him that way. In some sense he was much like Frisk in his kindness and mercy. But they didn't know how bad Y/N could be... and Y/N wanted it to stay that way.

"So... dad isn't here yet..." Frisk stated.
"Dad?" Y/N asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Yes he's mine and Chara's adoptive father." Frisk explained as Y/N grew disgusted with himself.
"Oh for fuck sake. Have I been asking if two sisters are dating?" Y/N groaned as he placed placed his head in his hands. Chara and Frisk giggled before they thought about their relationships a bit deeper.
"We're not sisters... our relationship is a bit complicated." Chara stated with a hand behind her head.
"Then what would you two day you are?" Y/N asked as Frisk replies quickly.
"Best friends. Partners."
"Partners?" Y/N asked now back to thinking they were together.
"Not like that." Chara shook her head. As smart as Y/N seemed to be, he could definitely act dense at times. "Like partners in crime."
"That's a saying." Y/N dryly stated.
"Yeah but that's probably the best way to describe me and Chara." Frisk looked away a blush written across her face as Y/N nodded.

"Right... ugh! When is asgore going to show up!?" Y/N grew impatient wanting asgore to show up. The anticipation was literally gnawing away at him. As on cue, the door to the cafe opened.
"Muffet! Is Y/N still here?!" Y/N heard a wary, gruff voice call out as he turned to see two people. One of them was asgore, he hadn't changed a bit from what he remembered. Still towering over everything but instead of battle armour he wore when fighting Y/N he wore a pink polo shirt with some white button up shorts. He looked exactly like your stereotypical dad. The other was a skeleton guy dressed like a scientist, he had scars on each eye with one going from his eye socket to his chin and the other doing the exact same but from his eye to the top of his head. Not only that but he also had wholes in his hand.

"Yes he's right there-" Muffet was cut off by Y/N getting up from his seat in the booth.
"Asgore! It's a pleasure to see you again!" Y/N smiled as greeted the goat monster.
"It is?" Asgore and the scientist seemed confused as Y/N gave Asgore a hug.
"W-what are y-you doing?" Asgore asked his voice trembling.
"Hugging you." Y/N stated with a small smile as he didn't let go of the fluffy king.
"B-but I killed you?" Asgore stumbled as he was at a loss for words.
"Yeah so what I forgive you."
"You do?"
"Yeah sure." Asgore began to tear up before hugging Y/N back.

The two had funally made amends. After the years of guilt Asgore had on his back. The multiple humans he had killed in the name of saving his people. It was like a priest had just washed away all his precious sins. The two finally released each other from their embrace as they looked at each other like old friends who had been reunited once again. Y/N turned to the scientist.
"So I'm guessing your the scientist who revived me?" Y/N asked before sticking out his hand for the scientist to shake. "Doctor Gaster was it?" Gaster shook Y/N's hand with a small smile.
"Please Y/N feel free the call me just gaster."
"Well thank you gaster for resurrecting me." Y/N thanked before turning back to Asgore "so about that cinnamon and butterscotch pie..." Y/N asked as he licked his lips in anticipation. Asgore laughed like Santa.
"Ho ho ho! Yes Y/N it would be a pleasure to speak with you over some pie." Asgore stated before turning to Frisk and Chara behind Y/N.
"Frisk Chara, feel free to join me and Y/N if you so please. You too gaster, muffet."
"Sorry your highness but I have to tend to the cafe for a few more hours thanks for the offer." Muffet turned down the offer as did Gaster.
"Hmm what about you two?"
"Yes! Chara and I would love to!" Frisk joyfully announced as Y/N and Asgore seemed glad.
"Great now come my children we have a lot to discuss..."
