"Your a human right?" Max asked with stars in his eyes as he looked to Y/N. The two were now aimlessly walking around snowdin as Y/N was now looking for Maeve.
"Well, I certainly don't look like a monster." Y/N groaned. Sure the kid was cute but just looking at him brought back memories of Aalem... memories he tried so much to erase from his head.
"No you don't." Max commented as they kept walking. "Why did you help me out back there with those bullies?" Max asked as Y/N looked at the small bunny boy before looking away. The memories beginning to hurt his head.
"Just... don't like bullies. They're cowards who just pick on those weaker than themselves." Y/N states as Max nods.
"Definitely... so what did you do before you fell?" Max again asked another question as Y/N sighed.
"Why do you want to know so much about me?" Y/N asked as Max chuckled.
"Your a human. Your new so therefore your interesting." Max states with a smile as Y/N groaned.
"Fine. I was a soldier before I fell." Y/N states his blank and tired eyes growing weary as he began to feel fatigue kick in.

The two walked past what seemed like a library but the sign above it was spelt comically wrong.
"Libraryby?" Y/N looks to the sign as Max giggles.
"Someone spelt it wrong. Personally I think it was the librarian but they refuse to admit it." Max smirks as Y/N hums before moving onwards.
"Right." Y/N said as they moved towards Grillby's, the last place he had seen Maeve. Y/N saw Maeve walking out with a displeased expression. Before Y/N could react, he saw Max sprinting full speed towards Maeve as he grabbed Maeve with his small arms.
"Big sister!" Max nuzzled Maeve's waist as Maeve chuckled slightly.
"Hey Max. Have fun?" She smiled as Max nodded his head.
"Yep! There were these bullies but don't worry because Y/N helped me out!" Max smiled at his big sister. Maeve looked up to see Y/N standing a few feet away from her. She had an almost shocked look as she stared at human.
"Y-you helped my little brother?" She asked as Y/N nervously scratched the back of his head.
"Yeah. He was getting bullied and I thought I should help him out." Y/N said as Marge felt a smile almost creep onto her face. Maeve mouthed a thank you.

Y/N wanted to apologise but decided to not ruin the moment between Maeve and Max so Y/N began to walk to the inn.
"Where are you going?" Maeve asked as Y/N turned his head.
"I'm going to the inn. I'm exhausted and need some sleep." Maeve then rubbed the back of her head as she turned away with a blush. Y/N noticed it and it made his heart... flutter for some reason.
"You can stay with us... for a while." Marie offered as Y/N seemed a bit surprised.
"Huh? But I'm a human?" Maeve sighed.
"Just forget all that and come with us to get some rest... it's getting late anyway."

[Timeskip to a chibi Y/N sleeping soundly on the couch in Maeve's house]

"Y/N... I'm afraid that we can't let you attend this school much longer." Y/N glared daggers into his principal as the principal just looked at him with a disapproving look. "This is the third fight you've been in for the past week. I'm afraid parents are beginning to worry that your a danger to the other students." Y/N growled as he kept his almost narcissistic stare. "Now Y/N, I'm going to have to tell your grandfather this... only because I don't want you to end up like him." The principal sighed as Y/N gained a scared look.

"Y/N! YOU'RE A FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT!"

Y/N heard his grandfather scream in his ear as he shuffled in his seat.
"No! No! Just don't! Please!" Y/N begged as the principal shook his head.
"I'm sorry Y/N but it's the rules." Y/N lowered his head as he began to breathe heavily. His grandfathers words burning into his mind. The principal then picked up the phone as Y/N lunges at the man. He then mercilessly slammed his fist down into the principal has the principal cowered in fear as he held up his hands to protect himself.

"PLEASE! PLEASE! DON'T CALL HIM! ANYONE BUT HIM!"

"Shhh... it's okay, Y/N..." a voiced shushed as Y/N burst up from the couch as he turned and raised his fist up to the voice. Y/N lowered his fist as he saw Maeve in the keeling position next to him.
"Shit... sorry." Y/N apologised as he looked at his fist. Maeve looked sad as she turned away from Y/N.
"It's okay... but are you..." Maeve asked as she began to feel worried about Y/N.
"Yeah... yeah..." Y/N said as he began to feel his heart rate reach a normal level.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Maeve asked as Y/N didn't know what to say. On the one hand he needed to get what happened off his chest but at the same time he didn't completely trust Maeve yet.
"Maybe later..." Y/N said as Maeve nodded slightly before getting an idea.
