"Come on! Catch up slow poke!" Chloe called Lucy, who was decently far from her.
"Coming, just give me a minute!"
Chloe made her way up to the lighthouse with her girlfriend and brother, William was going sooner than planned, so he was meeting up with the kids.
"You're slower than a snail - a snail could go faster then you - OW bitch!" Flynn rambled, rubbing the spot on his shoulder his sister hit.
"Come on, or dad will die of old age!"
Lucy laughed as she jogged to catch up with them. They eventually met up with William, who was with Joyce sitting on the bench, looking at the beautiful view of Arcadia Bay.
Chloe and Flynn talked about their birthday plans as it was tomorrow till their parents made it a big deal, Lucy thought it was cute that the twins thought like this, Lucy was the opposite, she didn't care at all about her birthday and Frank didn't bother either.
"Only you would insult dad like that Chloe..."
"Oh, don't be so offended, Flynn. She didn't actually insult the man." Lucy said, patting his shoulder and then walking with Chloe up to the lighthouse.
William smiled as he saw the three had finally arrived, "There you guys are, now come on, let's see the sunset."
"That's why we came up here?" Flynn asked with a playful look, "To watch a sunset?"
"Yup, indeed, come on, Flynn, lighten up, would ya?" William said, ruffling his hair, making the younger twin whine.
The four took their seats on the bench, Chloe sat herself on Lucy's lap as the bench could only fit three people. Lucy held onto Chloe tightly and snuggled into her neck, making the strawberry blonde move away from the tickle feeling in her neck.
"Oh god, you two are so gross."
"Why are you being so homophobic Flynn? Do you have a problem, Flynn? Hmm?" Lucy laughed.
"First, because I didn't know you two were dating till just right now, and also because I'm allowed to make fun, it's a free country!" Flynn said with a smile.
William watched in amusement as his two kids and Lucy bicker all while watching the sunset, the golden hour, soon to be darker till they had to leave. William loved that Lucy was in his kids' lives, though he was also surprised at the sudden statement Flynn had made about Chloe and Lucy he couldn't be more happy.
He had a good feeling about Lucy when Chloe first introduced her, Chloe needed someone after Max left, and his prayers and wishing had paid off. Lucy was here. Not just for Chloe but for Flynn too.
William was snapped back into reality when Chloe nudged his shoulder.
"Yes, honey?"
"Lucy and I were going to uh -" Chloe stopped herself, thinking of how she was going to word this correctly without actually saying what she wanted to say bluntly.
"I - I want to do something with my hair, soon I mean."
William looked at her, surprised by the statement or question she had said. William loved Chloe's long hair. It made her beautiful (not that he already didn't think that), but it was clear that Chloe wanted to do something different. She was growing up anyway.
Sooner or later, Flynn would do the same thing, though because it was Flynn, William was also scared once Flynn hit puberty. Chloe hadn't even hit it yet.
"Like what? Do you want to trim it? Color it?" William asked, wanting more information than what he had.
"Uh... I don't know yet, but this is my way of asking for permission?" Chloe seemed really unsure, though it was cute to Lucy it was funny to Flynn and very concerning to William, "I mean, not that I wouldn't ask you first! Of course I do - did - just did! Uh..."
