Chloe Price was in worse condition every day, not just physically but also mentally. She was getting tired of sitting in bed all day or even sleeping, Lucy had visited every week now that she had her job to help her brother pay bills, and her having to go to her job right after her classes ended didn't help.

Lucy would always bring over music discs to lighten up Chloe's day and tell her all about her day while listening to the music that played in the background.

But lately, Lucy would sometimes come by once a week or skip a week. It bothered Flynn because he would always see Chloe in the dumps while staring out the window. She seemed to always be in her head.

Flynn could only hope Lucy would put more effort, even when she couldn't control it.

But months later had passed, and Lucy had been visiting Chloe less and less. At first, Chloe could understand that she would because of the job shifts that Lucy had, but it soon got to her, and Chloe came to the conclusion that Lucy was finally getting tired of her.

Lucy would still come by on days off, but that would soon be less. She didn't bother texting Flynn or even their parents. It was reminding Chloe of Max.

Chloe would ask Flynn to talk to Lucy whenever he could, but when he did, all Lucy would tell him was to wait on her next day off, and still, Lucy wouldn't show up. Flynn was already on a thin line with Lucy for ditching Chloe, and he so badly wanted to talk to her, but Lucy had finally texted him last minute.

Flynn didn't really believe her, but he hoped she would show up like she said she would. Just when he put his phone away, Chloe had woken up from her nap. She had fallen asleep from how exhausted she was.

"Who was that?"

"Hm? Oh, it was Lucy." He said, readjusting himself in the chair, "She's coming over."

Flynn can see the glimmer of hope in her eyes, which, for an unknown reason, made him sad. Chloe shouldn't have hope for anything related to her girlfriend or anything for that matter that involves anyone close to her. Chloe had a lot of people who loved her.

"When?"

"Now." He sighed, "I'll be back, I'll bring her in when she gets here."

Chloe watches Flynn leave. She knows how he feels about Lucy, Chloe never bothers to change her brother's opinion on Lucy as she is slowly feeling abandoned. Abandoned by the only person who took care of her, who loved her, who stayed with her.

Chloe wouldn't know Lucy's work schedule. The only thing she knows is that she worked late sometimes. Chloe wanted to ask her that, but since she was never around anymore, Chloe never bothered.

Until now. That is.

The number of questions that Chloe had was overwhelming to her, Lucy was so close now to being here again, and Chloe wasn't ready. She was trying to mentally prepare, but no matter what she did, nothing worked.
