A few months had gone by, and Chloe's condition had continued to get worse, so far just to keep her blood circulating her parents, or Flynn had to rub lotion and massage her limbs. She had head pains in the mornings that felt like her skull was going to explode.

Lucy hated every minute of it, and she wished every minute of the day that she could take Chloe's pain away.

It was currently January, and it was almost close to being the fourth year since she and Chloe had met, and the third year since the accident. Lucy didn't plan on doing anything except spending her time with Chloe while watching Blade Runner with her and Flynn.

"So, did Flynn -"

"Flynn gave me my meds, yes. Dad and mom fed me and put my lotion on and everything. Can you just get Flynn now?" Chloe said, dismissing the question.

Lucy didn't know how Chloe actually felt, but she had an idea of it, and she didn't want another argument to happen, so she just went to get Flynn as she had put the disc in the DVD player.

Chloe was left alone for only three minutes, and she felt her throat dry up. She needed her water, and Lucy wasn't in the room, and her parents were upstairs. Chloe couldn't call out either because of her dry throat, so she had to wait.

When the two returned back to Chloe's high-tech room, she asked for her water. As Lucy started the movie, Flynn sat himself on the chair next to the bed, and Lucy lays next to Chloe.

The night went on, and Lucy had to leave the next morning without waking the twins. As she had a job interview at a local music shop, there were old-fashioned vinyls and music discs. Lucy wanted to get a job as she had to help her brother with money, but she didn't want to get involved with dealing drugs. Their living situation was bad enough as it is.

Lucy texted Flynn's phone as she left the house and made her way to the bus stop. Joyce and William were out, so she didn't have to worry about waking anyone else up as she left.

Chloe had woken up just as Lucy left the house. Today was another appointment at the hospital, and she was not looking forward to it she knew herself that her condition was worsening as the amount of shit she had to take just to get through the day.

Chloe looked over to her sleeping brother and called for him softly but loud enough for him to wake up.

"Morning, Chloe." Flynn said in his sleepy voice.

"Morning."

Flynn picked up his phone and saw the text Lucy sent, Flynn put it away after responding and got up to do his usual routine with Chloe. As in giving her her pain relief, massaging her body with lotion and feeding her breakfast.

He then helped Chloe to the bathroom connected to the room. As much as both siblings hated this part, it had to be done, Flynn heard Chloe let out quiet sobs as he wiped her clean.

Only when their parents had to leave early it was only Flynn, who had to be there for her. Sometimes Lucy would help if she stayed over.

The two were soon back to Chloe's bed as Flynn injected the right amount of morphine for Chloe's regular head pains. Chloe shut her eyes tightly as her headache turned into a sharp pain. Flynn noticed and upped her morphine by one.

"I'm sorry, Chloe, I wish I could -"

"Don't." Chloe muttered, "Don't say you wish you could take the pain away. Just don't."

Flynn couldn't help but pity his sister even though she hated it. He couldn't help it. He had to see Chloe suffer every day basically on life support. And it was also his turn to take Chloe to her appointment.
