Entry 6: Cat Searching Adventure

Sunday

Dear Diary,

Today was better than the other day despite the fact that Meme decided to explore. I woke up to Ryoushii barking.

I sat up for a little while and shushed him. He quieted down, so I laid down again. Then he started barking.

"What's your problem?" I moaned.

Ryoushii jumped on my back and growled. I turned over so he fell on the bed.

"Okay," I sat up and grabbed him. "What?"

He turned towards the table in the middle of the house and barked once. Meme was usually asleep under that table, but she wasn't there.

Panic welled up in me.

"Oh my goodness..." I gasped.

The door was slightly opened.

"Seriously? This would happen when I forgot to lock the door!"

He barked again as if he was saying, "Yep. Gots to be more careful."

Okay, maybe he didn't say all that.

I held Ryoushii up and shook him a little. "What are we gonna do?!"

Of course, he didn't respond. I put him on the floor, quickly pulled some jeans and a red t-shirt, put on my work shoes, and ran out of the house, making sure to close the door.

No offense to Ryoushii, but he isn't smart enough to open the door.

I looked around the ranch, and then I saw Misty watering my crops. "Oh, thanks!"

"Cherry went to go feed Ryoushii. No idea where Meme is, though."

Cherry is another one of the little sprites I've met.

"Oh, good luck!"

I ran into the main valley. Nowhere to be seen. So I went to every house and nobody saw her. I even asked Witch Princess; she just said she'd be on the lookout.

I came across a pink, curly haired girl while I was walking down to the beach. She was my height, but the dress she was wearing looked like something a child would wear.

"Have you seen a black cat?" I asked.

"I--wait...who are you?"

She was smiling at first, but she started to give me a look of curiosity.

"Uh, Dannie."

"I haven't seen it," she replied curtly. She walked off in the opposite direction, though she looked like she was going to the beach. I wondered what her problem was.

Before I went to the beach, I thought I might as well ask Daryll, Cody, Galen, and Nina.

First I went to Daryll but he all like, "A cat?! A CAT?"

I just left. Quickly. Something's wrong with him. I'm pretty sure I've seen him stalking this girl named Flora.

And I had no luck with anyone else. I know this doesn't sound good so far, but like I said, it was better than the other day. So I went to Kai. He hadn't seen her.

He offered to help look her. Then Lumina came running along.

"I--I tried to catch you before you left the mansion, but you ran off..." She was huffing and puffing with her hands on her knees.

"Wow, I thought you were in better shape," I said.

"Oh, be quiet." Then she stood up straight and added, "I'll help look for Meme."
