Dear Diary,

I'm sure that I'm an idiot. I just wasn't thinking and just...acted.

In the afternoon I was going to walk and talk with Lumina but she said her Grandma wasn't feeling too well so she had to help take care of her.

Gramps still isn't back and I was feeling too lazy to walk to Vesta's place or all the way down to the beach. So I went to the meadow.

Hugh and Kate were playing rock, paper, gun. Yes, gun. I don't know where they learned that from.

Murrey, the homeless dude that walks around the valley, was sitting in front of a bush.

I sighed.

This isn't fun. Why are these kids playing about guns? Why is he sitting in front of the bush? Why is he homeless?

"Hey, lady," Hugh exclaimed.

I looked at the little dandelion colored-haired boy with a band-aid on his cheek.

"Wanna play with us?"

"No, thanks."

"Aw, come on! I need some competition. He's too easy to beat," Kate said pointing at Hugh.

"Am not! You cheated!"

"I did not!"

"Did too!"

They kept going back and forth so I just stared at the pond and did my best to tune them out.

"Dana-daisy!"

I already knew he was wearing that annoying smirk as he stood next to me. I glared at him and hissed," Stop calling me by that name in public," I hissed.

I realized that the sentence sounding kinda weird. Like I've been alone with him for an extended period of time at some point.

"I can't promise that. No one knows it's actually your middle name anyway."

How did he know that? No clue.

I strongly dislike my middle name. Although I love my parents, my middle name reminds me of how ridiculous they are. Gramps told me that they arguing about whether to name me Dana or Daisy. My dad wanted Dana and my mom wanted Daisy.

So my mom frustrated and said," Fine. It'll be Dana-daisy!"
Lucky for me, Gramps was able to talk them out of making that my name but they were kinda still set on it being in my name. My first name is Daniera. I don't think it fits me so I go by Dannie.

"That doesn't change how I feel about it," I replied.

He just shrugged so I pushed him a little.

"No need to get violent."

"You haven't seen the violence yet."

Then he just looked at me. Actually stared. So I stared back.

"You looking for something in my face or...?"

"I wanna ask you something," Rock said.

"It better not be anything stupid."

He hesitated then said, "Can I kiss you?"

My heartbeat sped up.

What the heck? Was that really the question he had?

"What did I just say?"

"Dannie!" he whined.

"What? Why?!"

"Cause I've never kissed a girl before."
