Y/n's POV
I strode confidently down the red carpet, my mind filled with a whirlwind of thoughts. The 2005 BET Awards were shaping up to be a huge night, and I was ready to field any questions that came my way as I knew the red carpet would lead me right into the hands of journalists. But there was one thing I wasn't prepared for, and that was to be standing inches away from Destiny's Child.
The girls looked good tonight, I ain't gone lie.
"Y/n! Over here!" a paparazzi called as I kept stealing glances over at Bey. She looked so good, and if we weren't so hellbent on keeping our shit private, my hands would be roaming her body.
I flashed a charming smile, stuffing my hands into my pockets. "Aye, y'all chill out." I laughed at them screaming left and right.
I felt the girls getting closer to me and I looked over, my eyes immediately connecting with Bey's. "Hey,
Y/n." Kelly greeted with a smile on her face as she pulled me into a hug.The status of me and Bey's relationship was only known to the girls and Ty. We both needed people to vent to when shit got tough and those were the people we chose to lean on. "What up, K. How you doing Michelle?" I said once I pulled back from the hug with Kelly, pulling Michelle into a quick one.
I seen Bey's eyes roll a little as I had yet to greet her. I laughed internally.
"I'm tired. Do you know how early we had to get up?" Michelle put her hands on her hips causing me and the girls to laugh. She was not a morning person by any means. "Shi, I feel you. I was up at four this morning."
"Mhm...how you gone greet us and not your girl?" Kelly grinned tilting her head.
"You know, I was wondering the same thing." Bey said with a slight smile on her face as she tilted her head as well. "Yeah yeah yeah, I was getting there man. Chill on me." I said pulling Bey into a hug.
I made sure to keep my hands at a friendly distance above her waist to not give the people around us any ideas as her arms went around my neck. "Hey, baby thug." I lowered my voice for only her to hear, sneakily biting her ear in the process.
"Ouch, baby." She giggled, pinching my neck.
I knew we had to pull away soon, but I didn't want to. I hadn't seen my girl in two weeks because she'd been so busy doing press and tour work for their new album while I've been tryna get mine finished while traveling for shows. "You look good, ma." I grinned, pulling back from the hug.
"You do too, I guess." She punched my shoulder lightly.
A little over two weeks ago, before me and Bey went our separate ways, I had finally settled on what I would be wearing to the carpet, while Mama T had just finished the final touches on the girls dresses. Bey begged to see my suit but I held off because I wanted to surprise her, so she did the same with her dress to be petty. "I know, baby thug." I said brushing my shoulders as she blushed.
