"Ouh, look at you." I held my fist up to my mouth as Bey popped on the screen on my laptop. She giggled, wiping her face with a lil' smile. "What up?"
"Why you cryin'?" I frowned, noticing a tear slide down her cheek.
She huffed and leaned into the palm of her hand. "I miss you, baby."
"So much." Her voice cracked and she honestly sounded like she had been crying way before we got on the call.
"A nigga miss you too, ma."
She sniffled, shaking her head as she wiped her face again. "I hate bein' so fucking far from you."
I exhaled through my nose, leanin' back against the headboard of the hotel bed. "I know, baby."
"Then, rehearsals been killin' me. I ain't been sleepin' right, ain't been eatin' right, and I—" She paused, pressing her lips together. "I just want you here."
My jaw clenched. Hearin' her talk like this ain't sit right with a nigga at all at all. She always kept it together, but I could tell she was breakin' down.
"I feel like I'm losin' my fucking mind out here, Y/n." She admitted, looking down at her hands. "The only thing gettin' me through all this are these short ass calls with you."
I huffed, running a hand down my face. "Bey, you know if I could, I'd be out there right now."
She nodded, but it ain't seem to make her feel better. "I know...I just—" She let out a breathy laugh, shaking her head. "It sounds so dumb, but I just wanna lay up with you. Fall asleep on you, wake up to you...just be next to you, f'real baby."
I sat there, bittin' the inside of my cheek, wishin' I could pull her through the damn screen. A nigga was just as frustrated. We had been living off these lil' Skype calls, tryna make it work for a few months now, but the shit was draining both of us.
A nigga was all the way in Atlanta and shit, handling business, while she was in Europe for the first half of her tour. You would think that we would be used to the distance by now, but nah.
And I just knew she was probably taking that shit out on everybody around her.
"You been snappin' on them folks again?" I asked, a grin playin' on my lips.
She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "What you think?"
I laughed, shaking my head. "Damn, I feel bad for them."
"You should." She mumbled, rubbing her forehead. "I don't mean to, but I swear, everything been pissin' me off."
"Yvette was tryna talk to me today and I just...I just ain't have the patience."
