"Y/n, please get the fuck out of my face with that."

"Fuck I gotta get outta yo face for? Nigga ain't do shit." She smacked her lips and dropped into the armchair across from me. Legs spread, arms tossed over the sides.

I stared at her.

She raised her brows at me. "What? You got somethin' else to say?"

I scoffed under my breath. "I'm good, Y/n."

"That's a lie." She leaned forward, elbows on her knees. "You been actin' weird all day, B. Rollin' ya eyes, slammin' shit, walkin' past me like I did somethin' to you."

I folded my arms. "Maybe you did."

She sucked her teeth. "Man, what the fuck is you talkin' about?"

I looked past her just to stop from cussing her out. I could feel her stare on the side of my head.

"Nothing, baby." I muttered.

She shook her head. "Bey, if there's an issue just tell me."

I finally turned to her. "Why'd you talk to her last night?"

Y/n blinked. Hard. Like she was genuinely confused.

"Who?"

I looked at her like she was stupid. "You know who."

She frowned. "Hell nah I don't. I talked to a lotta people last night."

"Your ex, Y/n."

She leaned back. "Oh my God, bro." She dragged her palms down her face. "That's what this shit been about?"

I didn't answer. I didn't have to.

She sat up straighter. "Beyoncé. I said two words to her. Two. Words. We ain't hug, we ain't catch up, we ain't go down memory lane—"

"You didn't need to say anything to her." I snapped. "Not one thing."

Her mouth fell open. "You serious?"

"Dead."

She laughed. Actually laughed. Like I was being funny.

"Aight, so what was I supposed to do?" She challenged. "Be rude? Act like I ain't hear her say hey to me? She was dead in front of me, Beyoncé."

"I don't care if she was standing on your toes, Y/n. It's disrespectful."

She let out a breath through her nose and then stood up.

The second she did, I popped up too.

It wasn't even intentional. My body just reacted. We weren't having an argument with me sitting down and her towering over me like I was a child.
