The training room felt much larger now that it only held two people. Well, Daphne assumed it only held two until Finnick grabbed her by the bicep when she began to walk off to the target section. "I have someone for you to meet," the golden boy smiled warmly, and when Daphne turned to see who this special person was, her curious gaze softened at the sight of Mags. "Daphne, this is Mags. Mags, Daphne," he introduced the two.

The older lady smiled warmly at the brunette. Daphne moved in for a handshake, but Mags brought her into a tight hug, which Daphne did not hesitate to accept. After a few seconds, the pair broke apart, but Mags' hand graced Daphne's cheek for a moment, giving her a tender look before stepping back.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Daphne said sweetly, and Mags shook her head. "The pleasure is mine," Mags corrected in the nonverbal form of communication, earning a warmer smile from Daphne.

"Do you know how to weave?" Mags asked through sign language. Daphne was now more than grateful to have learned this way of speaking from her brother. When Daphne shook her head no, Mags gently grabbed her hand and led her to a station with numerous plants. The other day, Liam and Daphne were studying poisonous and nonpoisonous fruits in this room.

Daphne and Finnick sat on the floor and Mags soon joined them with a handful of reeds. For the next few minutes, Mags was a very patient teacher, doing her best to instruct the rather confused Daphne on how to weave. More often than Daphne would like to admit, Mags' soft hands would grab the brunette's hands every time she did something wrong, or Daphne would hear Finnick's gentle voice correcting her verbally.

"Over," Finnick chimed as he glanced up from the woven mat he was making.

"Over?" Daphne asked, raising a brow as Mags' hands came to her aid.

"Yes, over."

This continued for what could have been half an hour until Daphne managed to make a mat. "Ahah! I did it!" she cheered, earning a laugh from the past District Four victors. "Took you long enough," Finnick teased, earning a playful, backhanded swat from Daphne.

Once they cleaned up the area, Mags decided it was her time to leave. "We should be seeing her tomorrow for when we see the training scores," Finnick informed Daphne before glancing at Mags, who nodded her head to confirm she'd be there for tomorrow evening.

Before Mags left to continue her day elsewhere, they said a few goodbyes, and Finnick led Daphne off to another station in the training room.

"Well, we know you didn't know how to weave, but do you know how to tie knots?" Finnick questioned as they stopped in front of the knot tying station. "I know basic knots, like a slip knot or knots used to tie up boats," Daphne answered as her blue eyes watched him grab a piece of rope from a basket.
