There she is.
And suddenly he feels his eyes cool, and lips stretch.
Subconsciously, unknowingly.
He's fallen for her, hasn't he?
Inadvertently, his steps make his way to her.
2nd year and this time he comes with an invitation.
A lifetime contract.
To tie the knot and mark history they have together as something forever.
Only to his steps come to a halt.
He hears her laugh and sees her smiling.
A man who is not him stands behind her and she moves when she notices his presence.
Not his.
And she smiles at him.
Vincenzo smiles despite the heartache.
Marking history together?
She's long forgotten and started another.
He can only see the man's back and that is enough for him.
So, the steps towards her, reverse, achingly slow.
Mind still taking the time to process.
He clutches the card in his hand and as his hands tremble, it falls down.
Who cares
It was for her.
Who cares
Because even if somebody picks it up, no one knows him
Who cares
Because now his sole reason to come back to Korea has...finished.
So, he doesn't pick the letter back and looks at her once again.
"Perdonami, amore mio. Please live well."
She makes her way to the gallery once again.
To see him.
The second time.
The second year.
She stands in front of another painting.
Nostalgia hitting her hard.
Until-
"Ms Hong?"
She looks behind and sees the man, Jun Yeol, the estate agent she had a meeting last week with.
"What a surprise to see you here." The man says while smiling at her.
They make a small talk, and Cha Young laughs at a joke he makes while her mind drifts away to the sole reason why she's here.
The man leaves shortly when she tells him she's waiting for someone with a small smile.
She's left staring at the painting, but she starts to become impatient, so she strolls around the gallery.
Eyes moving from one area to the other, smiling at those she makes eye contact with.
He is nowhere to be seen and Cha Young starts to get worried, she keeps moving until her heel presses onto something that is not the floor tile.
She looks down to see a crumpled letter, half-opened giving her access to the writing inside.
She slowly picks it up and she doesn't even need to take the letter or invitation out because it is all too familiar.
Cha Young's vision blares red.
