"Cha Young-ah!"

She looks behind her to see him crouching down on one leg, carrying a handmade heart she knows he made himself.

She turns towards him, brows furrowed.

"Will you marry me?" He asks.

"No." Cha Young replies, she is teasing him but because she's good at acting, he seems to take her answer seriously.

"Why?" He asks as he looks at her with innocent eyes.

"I don't want to!" She exclaims, she's almost about to laugh and wants to pounce on him as to hug him tightly on the grass he's crouching on.

There's sadness in his eyes but he gets up.

He throws the handmade heart he made on the ground, and it breaks, Cha Young gasps.

"Joo Hyeong-ah!" She says as she watches him leave.

"Joo Hyeong-ah!!" She starts running towards him as she calls him the second time but he's quite fast and she tries to catch up with him, but he's already shut the door to his little room.

She stands there and knocks on his door.

"Go away, Cha Young-ah.." He says but she keeps knocking knowing he'll open the door soon.

However, to Cha Young's dismay, he doesn't.

She thinks he's really mad at her, so she opts to give him space, walking away slowly so that no sound of her steps is heard and if he opens the door to check whether she's gone, she can barge in his room.

However, again-to her dismay, he doesn't.

She ponders over her best friend's unusual behavior as she tries to sleep but is failing constantly.

He usually indulges her whims and wishes and plays along in her antics.

Her last thought before sleep envelops her is that she hopes he knows her answer is yes.

The next day, Cha Young wakes up a little late, she makes her way outside to have breakfast, but she doesn't see Joo Hyeong around which is odd.

Usually, they have breakfast together but when it's these rare days, she does find an extra cookie in her own plate; courtesy of Joo Hyeong who knows she likes the cookies a lot and puts his share in hers.

But, today is an exception and she only has one.

She eats her breakfast disappointedly and the old caretaker takes her plates away as she gets up to find Joo Hyeong.

She goes outside and a lot of kids her age are playing in the park here and there.

She searches as she walks around and finds Julia nearby.

Moving closer to her, Cha Young's brows furrow.

"Where did you find this?" She says as she carefully holds the same handmade heart, Joo Hyeong had the other day.

"Ahh, Joo Hyeong gave me this." Julia politely takes it back from her hands and watches it carefully.

Cha Young's curious gaze follows her movements.

"Pretty, isn't it?" Julia asks.

Instead of replying, Cha Young fiercely snatches the heart from Julia who looks at her eyes wide.

"This is mine!" She shouts.

The latter scowls and the two are in for an argument and soon the caretaker in charge monitoring children in the playground catches them and intervenes.
