"I've done it, Lessi. I've done my ACL."

"You don't know that, livvy. Don't say that."

"I heard the pop. I've done it." I repeat

The medics run onto the pitch and I explain what's happened.

"I can't confirm it, because we'll have to do scans but it looks like your ACL, liv. I'm so sorry. We're gonna have to get you on the stretcher." Emma, the medic, says.

"Let me walk off, please. I don't want Maisie and Lottie to see me on the stretcher." I tell her and she thinks about it.

"Let them stretcher you, livvy." Less says

"Please." I beg, tears forming in my eyes.

"You get one arm, Alessia." Emma says, grabbing one of my arms whilst Alessia grabs the other.

They help me up and support me as I hobble off the pitch.

"You go with her." Sarina tells Alessia and less nods gratefully.

The medical team gives me some crutches and ice.

"I'm going to get the girls, I won't be long." Less tells me, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

It was just me in the room now, no one else.

I look down at my knee which was wrapped in ice and bandages.

One simple move that went all wrong.

One simple move that I've done hundreds of times before.

One simple move that stops my career for nine months.

One simple move. That's all it was.

Emma came back in and told me I'm booked in for a scan the day after we return back to England.

The scan will confirm if it's my ACL but even without a scan, the medics are 99.99% sure it is.

"Mama?" I hear Maisie babble

"Mama's just round the corner, look, there's mama." Less says to Maisie.

Maisie was in one her arms, wide awake, whereas Lottie was fast asleep in Alessia's arms, her head on less' shoulder.

"Mama!" Maisie clapped as she saw me.

Lessi rested her on the bed and Maisie came to hug me.

"Hi, baby." I mumble in to Maisie's hair as I hug her. I hear her yawn and her eyes grow droopy. "Go to sleep, Maisie moo."

Maisie closes her eyes and before long, she was dead to the world.

"Does it hurt?" Less asks, breaking the silence.

"A bit but it could be worse." I respond, sending her a weak smile.

"I'm sorry, livvy. It shouldn't have happened to you." Less tells me, her eyes filling with tears.

"Don't say sorry, less. I'm fine. I'll get through it."

"You will, baby, I know you will."
