No one could stop them - Part Two ~ A.R

~ eighteen ~

Today was gonna be such a good day.

We set off for America tomorrow but today me and less were going to the hospital to see the baby.

We had to postpone our twelve week scan because we were away on camp so we agreed to have a scan between our twelve week and twenty week scan.

"Hi, bubba." Less whispers against my bump as we lay in bed.

We'd woken up early so the girls were still fast asleep in their room.

"We're going to see you today. Me and mama are so excited to see you." Less continues to say, her hand resting on my bump. "We love you."

As if on cue, a small kick happens.

I look at less with wide eyes.

"Was that...?"

"They just kicked. They were saying hello to their mummy."

"Aww, hi bubba. Can you kick for us again?" Alessia asked, her hand on my bump still.

A kick is felt again against Alessia's hand.

"There you are. Our strong striker."

"So, as you know, this will be cold." The nurse said, placing the gel onto my bump.

We'd dropped the girls off at Carol and Mario's before driving to the hospital for the scan.

Less was squeezing my hand as the nurse placed the wand onto my stomach.

A figure of a baby appeared on the screen, me and lessi smiling at it.

"That's our baby, livvy."

"That is your baby. And if you listen, that's their heartbeat." The nurse said, a little heart beat echoing around the room.

The nurse takes some measurements, everything being perfect.

"Would you like to know the sex?" The nurse asks

"Can you tell already?" I ask, thinking it's still too early.

"I can."

I look at less, who has a questioning look on her face.

"Can you write it and put it in an envelope?" Alessia asks and the nurse nodded.

We wait a minute or two before she comes back with the scan pictures and the envelope.

We leave the hospital soon after, heading towards the training centre.

I had a physio session today and I should be running on grass today for the first time since my ACL injury.

Less splits off to head towards the other girls, whereas I head towards the physio office.

I go through a few short exercises with the physio before finally putting in my boots again.

I walk out to the pitches, the team cheering as they see me.

My physio tells me a few things before I can finally jog.

I was a bit hesitant at first but as soon as I took the first few steps, I was perfect.

Less stopped her training and came over to cheer me on.

After about a minute of running back and forth, everyone was around me, cheering me on.

"I'm tired now." I say between pants, completely out of breath. "It's hard running when you're pregnant."

Everyone hugs me, congratulating me on running again before going back to their own training.

"I'm so proud of you, baby." Lessi says, emotionally, as she hugs me.

"I couldn't have done this all without you, Lessi. Thank you."

I do a bit more running before walking inside with the rest of the team.

As we're leaving, me and less quickly talk to lotte.

We ask if she'd be happy to organise a gender reveal party after we get back from America.

She said yes, of course.

The only bad thing was, we have to wait another week before we find out if we're having another baby girl, or a baby boy.
