No one could stop them - Part Two ~ A.R

~ fifteen ~

It was July 14th, Maisie and Lottie's birthday.

Me and less had snuck downstairs last night and decorated.

We had seen an idea on TikTok about baking a cake the night before just to make it a bit sentimental so we were up until midnight baking a cake and decorating it.

I don't know if it was the hormones or not, but I couldn't stop crying.

The thought of Lottie and Maisie being one already, and how quickly they're growing up, it all just made me cry.

Lessi just held me tightly, kissing my head.

It was now their birthday, and we'd been woken up to them babbling and cooing over the monitor.

Me and less smiled at each other, before walking through to their rooms.

We could hear Tooney, G and Mary talking but they'd told us that they would stay in their room for a bit to give us some time with the girls which I thought was really sweet of them.

"Hi, baby girls. Happy birthday!" I whisper as I turn their lights on.

Both of them had massive smiles on their faces because they saw me and less.

"Happy birthday, bubbas." Less says, kissing both their heads.

We went downstairs and made them breakfast before sitting down and letting them open their presents.

G, Mary and Tooney were downstairs now so they were helping Maisie and Lottie open their presents.

The morning sped by and before we knew it, we were getting ready for their small party.

It was only small, a few Arsenal and England girls and family.

Mary was looking after the girls whilst me and less got ready.

I had picked a nice summery dress to wear, but as I was changing, I happened to look in the mirror and saw a baby bump.

It was like it had grown overnight.

"Lessi?"

"Yes, love." Before I could even say anything, her eyes were glued to my bump, a smile on her face. "You've got a bump, baby."

"I know." I smile back at her, less coming to stand behind me and rest both her hands on my bump.

She drops to her knees, pressing a kiss to my baby bump.

"Hi bubba, it's mummy again. We can finally see you now. I love you so much."

I stroke a hand through her hair, her long hair now.

She'd gone to get hair extensions a few days ago and it looked incredible.

As she stands back up, I bring her in for a kiss, just a short sweet one.

We finish getting ready before heading downstairs.

Everyone showed up, celebrating with the girls.

Maisie and Lottie had a smile on their face the whole day.

I was exhausted by the end though.

When most people had left, o sat on the sofa next to Carol, closing my eyes and sighing.

"Bubba making you tired?" Carol asked

"Yeah." I sigh, a smile appearing on my face.

"Thank you, livvy." Carol says after a while

"What for?"

"For giving her everything she's ever wanted. You treat her so well. You've given her a family, and as her mother, I'll always be grateful for that, so thank you."

"Carol, I'm the lucky one. Less has given me a family. She's given me a home. She's given me two, soon to be three, babies. Everyday I fall more and more in love with her." I begin, my eyes wondering over to less. She was sat on the floor, Lottie and Maisie in between her legs as she plays with on of their new toys. The girls were giggling away. "And I'll forever be thankful for you for letting me love her. So thank you, Carol. Thank you welcoming me into your family."

"Oh, love, you're making me cry. You've always been apart of our family, livvy. Ever since less introduced you as her friend I knew you'd be part of our family. You're my daughter, liv."

I burst out crying, Carol enveloping me in a hug.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Less asks, worry in her voice as she rubs my back.

"Hormones." I sniffle

"Mama." Lottie babbles as she walks towards me

I pick her up, resting her on my lap as she hugs me.

Maisie follows her, doing the same thing.

I couldn't help but cry again, my three loves hugging me.
