"you can do like what? ten thousand push-ups without batting an eyelid? but start crying when it comes to folding a piece of paper?" you asked him in slight disbelief and tried to be patient with him. somehow, that was much easier than you imagined.
satoru sighed softly as he embarrassedly tried to cover his failed work. "i'm not crying. i'm doing origami like a man." he defended himself. it was just that folding origami cranes was somehow more difficult than he thought. he was usually so perfect at everything. "i just can't really put cursed energy into this fucking paper to make it easier. otherwise ten thousand push-ups wouldn't be really humanly possible by the way." he clarified, took a new sheet and threw the other one into a corner somewhere.
origami paper is expensive, stop wasting it with your clumsiness.
you're just not doing it right...maybe that's enough for today.
you always do this part wrong, how many times do i have to show you?
you looked down at your pretty cranes and picked up another color of paper for the next one. "you just have to practise, not everything always works on the first try." you encouraged him, but satoru couldn't help but be very disheartened to see how elegantly you handled the paper and how you never had to correct yourself even once when folding.
"i usually have a talent for everything. but of course, you caught me at the one thing that, for some reason, i don't." satoru groaned and continued to try to follow the instructions you didn't even glance at once. "i didn't even know you liked doing origami. it's such a...niche interest."
you laughed lightly. "yeah? i think it's more of an old people hobby, to be honest." you admitted without hesitation. "besides, i don't really like origami."
satoru looked at you a little confused and stopped folding for a second. "then why are we doing it?" he asked you.
you just shrugged your shoulders. "i used to fold origami with my dad sometimes. he has a passion for it for some reason." you said, "although he never liked doing origami with me, so - i don't know."
you didn't know why you bought the paper. satoru didn't really know much about your family situation other than the basics. you come from one of the oldest jujutsu clans, have five brothers and are the youngest, your mother is some kind of witch and you mentioned your father for the first time but from what you heard he wasn't the best either.
maybe this was the chance to find out more about your background. you were alone, the atmosphere was
comfy and you had already broached the subject."so - "
knock knock.
you looked a little surprised at the door and then at satoru, who only returned your gaze. neither of you really knocked on the other's door. you all just barged in most of the time, which is a topic in itself, but not that important right now.
