on the way to osaka, october 19 2005
your first mission as a student of jujutsu tech was today. you didn't really know what to expect if you were being honest. of course, you had exorcised curses in the course of your training and also did it casually in your everyday life when they were annoying weaklings, but nothing to this extent. "do we really have to go by train?" you asked a little unsure. it felt a little strange to take the train to go to the location of your mission.
geto was used to it by now. "we don't really have a personal driver or anything, and this is the fastest way of transportation."
it was only an hour until you arrived in osaka. geto had decided to lean his head back a bit and close his eyes. you then looked over to satoru, who sat next to you and up until now had just been sitting quietly while looking out the window absently. "why are you being so weird." you finally asked him after nudging him with your index finger.
he turned his head toward you, "i thought i was always weird." he replied while one of his eyebrows rose.
you hummed in agreement and turned a little sideways on your seat to meet his eyes. "i mean, yeah, but somehow you've been even weirder than usual lately, right suguru?" you asked, but he didn't add anything to the topic and just shrugged his shoulders. you wished shoko was here. she would have known what you were talking about. but she wasn't necessarily a jujutsu sorcerer who was on the field. she rather worked in the background and dealt with the aftermaths.
gojo subtly avoided your gaze by looking outside and observing the landscape. "it's nothing. i was just thinking about how you're going to be a help to us on the battlefield, with your non-existent cursed energy."
you took an offended breath. "that is not true. just because you can't feel it doesn't mean it's not there." you replied.
satoru slightly pulled down his sunglasses at what you said and raised his index finger. "first of all, that's what she said." he started and then pointed to his eyes. "second of all, nothing escapes these babies, so when i say you don't have any cursed energy, then guess what? you don't have any cursed energy."
he really can be such a bitch sometimes. "well, maybe you were just looking for the wrong kind of cursed energy." you replied, earning a curious look from both of them. geto straightened up slightly at what you said. "what's that supposed to mean?" he asked, not knowing exactly what you were talking about.
you grinned slightly. "part of my family's inherited technique involves that the user's body has only reversed cursed energy as its source." you began to explain, astonishing them both. this was the first time they had heard about such a thing. "however, since this attracts attention of curses, the user must either hide their energy with talismans or concentrate it to such a small point that it's basically non-existent." you finished.
that kinda made sense they supposed. "reversed cursed energy is positive, so you usually have to take cursed energy first, which is negetive and multiple it or something like that, right? that's shoko's area so i don't know much about it." admitted satoru as he continued to rack his brain over it. he himself couldn't even make reversed cursed energy yet.
