Third person pov

Atsushi was born with his eyes, he wasn't blind at birth. Atsushi was a orphan, he didn't know about his parents and the headmaster found him in the trash and took atsushi to the orphanage. Atsushi was considered a monster, he was always locked up in the basement and was never allowed out. The headmaster would yell, beat atsushi, saying he was a disgrace to this world, a mistake and god shouldn't have created him.

One this particular day, atsushi wasn't beaten yet, which was very odd, the other caregiver at the orphanage came into the basement and to atsushi to a room, it was filled with windows with multiple colors, and a statue, in the middle there was a table. Atsushi was confused as he was strap down to the table, he couldn't move and the headmaster just walked up to atsushi, he was holding a knife. "you're going to pay for your sins." The headmaster said, atsushi eyes widened as the knife got closer to his eyes and suddenly atsushi screamed.

The scream was so loud, the other kid heard it, the other caregivers didn't dare to look as atsushi eyes were cut out, there was blood everywhere but the headmaster didn't stop as atsushi screamed in agony pain. Once the headmaster was done as pulled the knife away and looked at the other caregiver. "clean up the mess and put him back into the basement." The headmaster said as he walked away, the caregiver clean the bloody mess, atsushi was in so much pain, he couldn't scream anymore. One of the caregiver was kind enough to at least put bandages over the cut, which did nothing.

Atsushi couldn't grow his eyes back, they were gone permanently. Atsushi was put back into the basement, atsushi just lay there for multiple days, atsushi couldn't believe it, his eyes were gone. The headmaster still beaten atsushi but it wasn't everyday now because atsushi has had paid for his sins. After years, atsushi was kicked out of the orphanage at the age of 17, he was almost 18 and atsushi was found by the armed detective agency.

Atsushi was laying in the hospital bed in the Infirmary unconscious but breathing. Atsushi was hooked up to fluids, while yosano checked atsushi. "Oh g..god.." Yosano said as she back away, she couldn't believe it, she didn't know what to say as she stare at atsushi, his has no eyes. Yosano was horrified, kunikida walked into the room to check on how everything was going and he just stare in shocked. "His eyes..were cut out.." Yosano slowly said, kunikida was absolutely horrified, they couldn't believe someone did that to a poor boy.

"Uh...I oh god.." Kunikida didn't know what to say as yosano slowly walk up to atsushi and check to see if it heal and it was. "It healed.." Yosano slowly said, kunikida just nod, it was a good thing that it was healed but they just couldn't believe it. Atsushi slowly woke, he could feel that he was on a bed but he didn't where he was. "Where..a..am I..?" Atsushi said, Yosano was glad to know that atsushi could talk, kunikida just said nothing. "you're at the arm detective agency, in the Infirmary..I'm yosano, a doctor." Yosano softly explained, atsushi just nod and yosano help atsushi sit up.

"I'm kunikida, I'm one of the people that found you." Kunikida slowly said, atsushi just hum, yosano just stare, she didn't know what to really say. "I know this might be a difficult topic but how..did you lose your eyes?" Kunikida asked, atsushi just said nothing for a while. "The headmaster of the orphanage cut them out, he said I was going to pay for my sins." Atsushi said, both yosano and kunikida couldn't believe it, a orphanage director cut some child's eyes out.

"Don't worry, you'll be staying with us for now, we will take great care of you." Yosano said, atsushi just nod, kunikida just smile. Atsushi stayed with the agency, atsushi was use to being blind but it was hard to walk around without hitting things so atsushi got a cane and it helped not knocking into things or hitting people. Atsushi was a member of the agency but he didn't really do anything, he would greet people come in and sometimes atsushi would run small errands but that all.

The agency love atsushi, atsushi was very cheerful person and everyone wanted him around. Yosano would make special scarves to put on eyes atsushi, atsushi has requested it, he didn't want to scare anyone. "Thank you so much yosano." Atsushi said, yosano just pat atsushi head, atsushi was grateful for it, he didn't expect yosano to make it. "Atsushi~!!" Dazai suddenly hug his favorite person, atsushi just sigh, this was a normal thing. "Dazai!! We have a case!!" Kunikida said as he dragged dazai away, dazai just whine, while atsushi and yosano chuckled.

Atsushi life was better now, the agency took great care of atsushi and also the headmaster was found dead, no one knew who killed him because there was no DNA but it was dazai, he was a little mad.
