Y/n Pov

You arrived at the office building earlier than usual today, your steps quick and purposeful.

Today there was an important meeting scheduled, and you wanted to ensure everything was in order.

As a secretary it's your first time attending a meeting.

You enter Taehyung's office to see him checking a file. You knocked the door and he gestured you to come in.

Y/n: Mr.Kim, everything is ready and the meeting will start within 10 minutes.

Taehyung's deep voice called you back as you were about to leave. You paused at your place and turned back to face him.

Taehyung : Well I see, it will be your first time joining a meeting I guess..

Y/n: y-yeah..

Taehyung : I think you know it too well that I like everything perfect..

Y/n: I'll try my best..
you said with a soft smile

Taehyung : I don't like to give people 2nd chances.. mind it.

Y/n: you can trust me Mr.Kim..

Taehyung : well..let's see..

Taehyung pov

I entered the meeting room and Ms.y/n was following me. Everyone greeted me. Then I sat on my chair and she sat on the other side.

Tae: So Ms.Y/n, can you introduce yourself?

Y/n: yeah of course sir. Hello, everyone. I'm Park Y/n. I'm the new client of the department and also Mr. Kim's new secretary.

You bowed and sat on your chair.

Time skip

Taehyung POV

The meeting went well. I must say, she has impressed me. She hosted the whole meeting very efficiently. She is quick witted, direct and honest, smart as well, something I didn't necessarily expect.

however.. Everyone seemed to be distracted because of her, constantly staring and forgetting whatever it was they wanted to say. Everyone seemed to be interested in her as a person, more so than what she was actually discussing. I felt myself getting more and more annoyed with each passing minute.. I don't know why..

Why everyone so interested in her?

Why was I feeling so irritated?

After a moment the meeting finished. Everyone bowed to me and left.

Still Taehyung Pov

I entered my room and sat on my chair feeling tired and then my gaze went to her standing in front of me like a statue.

Taehyung : Ms.Y/n, why are you standing there? Go sit on the couch.

Y/n: it's o- (I glared at her) oh okay..(she chuckled nervously)

She sat on the couch and then I went there and sat in front of her. She was looking down.

Taehyung : You did great. Ms.Y/n.

Hearing that she looked at me.

Taehyung : Just because of your skills in explaining everything, Mr.Kang agreed to be a partner with us. And we got our new project!! I'm glad that I made you my secretary..

Y/n: Thank you Mr.Kim..I just tried my best.

(she smiled at me...Her soft smile always melted my heart..aish)

Taehyung: I promise you Mr.Kim that I will be your last and only secretary. You don't have to look for another secretary after me..

Taehyung's heart flutters a little beat at her words. He leaned back in his chair, his mind wandering to past secretaries. He had gone through quite a few, each one leaving due to either the pressure of the job or being dismissed by him.

He remembered the 3rd secretary well, the one who had failed to meet his expectations and had been let go without any second chance. He looked into y/n's eyes.

Taehyung: Is that so?

he said, his tone a bit challenging

Taehyung: You're quite confident in your abilities, aren't you?

Y/n: yes, I'm. I know I can be a great secretary for you Mr.Kim. I'm good at managing, organizing and many more. I won't give you any reason to look for another secretary.

Taehyung couldn't help the crooked smile that appeared on his face, his eyes studying her intently.

Taehyung: I like your self- confidence. Most people wouldn't dare speak to me this boldly. They are always scared to talk to me.

Y/n: Why should I be scared? You're just my boss. And I'm here to do my job.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow

Taehyung: You have a lot of courage, Ms.Y/n.

he said, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Taehyung: And that's something unusual. Most people in your position would be more cautious.

Y/n: I believe I'm doing great.

Hearing that I nodded and smiled at her. After a moment she went to her cabin.

As Y/n left the room, Taehyung's gaze followed her, admiring her boldness. A smirk tugged at the corners of his lips as he quietly said to himself

Taehyung: What an interesting secretary I've got...
