Y/n: I'm willing to take the chance if it's meant to be with you

Taehyung smiled at her. But when he was about to say something more suddenly a guard came to the door.

Guard: Is there anyone here?

Hearing this y/n and taehyung's eyes widened. As the room was dark, the guard only saw a table light on. Taehyung crouches down so the guards don't see the two of them together. Y/n got up from her chair then call out loudly

Y/n: I'm still here..

Hearing the guard said

Guard: Get out quickly. It's late at night. I'm leaving..

Saying that the guard left from there

Taehyung stayed in his place until he was sure the guard was gone. His heart was racing, he couldn't help but chuckle in the midst of the tense situation. Y/n couldn't help but laugh too.

Y/n: That was close..

she whispered with a shaky voice. She couldn't believe their luck, the guard could have easily seen them in this position.

Taehyung let out a sigh of relief

Taehyung : We were lucky this time..

he admitted, his voice hushed. He didn't let go of her wrist, his touch filled with longing and care. He longed to kiss her right now and here, but he knew he had to be patient.

Taehyung : I don't want to hide our relationship forever..

he said, his fingers were caressing her wrist gently.

Taehyung : I want to be able to hold your hand in public, to kiss you whenever I want. I want to shower you with gifts and make you feel like the only person in the world..

His words were full of sincerity, and Y/n knew that he meant every word he said. She smiled at him softly.

Y/n: We should get out of here before anything else happens..

Taehyung : You're right

he nodded, letting go of her wrist from his grip.

Taehyung : We should head out separately to avoid any suspicion..

He looked at his wrist watch and noticed it was very late.

Taehyung : It's nearly 3 AM

he said, rubbing his eyes.

Taehyung : You must be exhausted..

Y/n: I'm used to it . (She said and chuckle)

Taehyung smiled, shaking his head.

Taehyung : You work too hard, you know that..

He couldn't help but admire her. He walked to the door and opened it, checking to make sure the coast was clear.

Taehyung: y/n, let's go..

Hearing that y/n nodded and went towards him.

Tae: After you

he said, gesturing for her to go out first.
Y/n walked out of the office, her heart was racing. She stole a glance at Taehyung, who was following closely behind.

As they reached the parking lot, Y/n turned to face Taehyung.

Y/n: Thank you for everything, Tae..

she said softly.

Taehyung: let's go I'll drop you

Hearing that y/n shakes her head

Y/n: it's okay Taehyung, I'll take a cab.

Taehyung: I could give you a ride back. Just to make sure you get home safely..

Y/n: it's okay I can go by myself..

Taehyung looked into her eyes with worry.

Taehyung : Y/n, it's not safe for you to be on the roads alone this late Please, let me take you home. It would make me feel better knowing that you reached home safely..

Y/n hesitated, knowing that Taehyung was right but unsure if she should accept his offer. Because he's also tired.

Y/n: This is not my first time leaving office so late..

Taehyung : I understand, but still

Taehyung said, his tone gentle

Taehyung: Just as your safety. Please, let me do that..

Y/n looked at him, her heart fluttering at his care and concern.

Y/n: Okay (she finally utter)

He smiled, led her to his car and opened the door for her.

As she got in, he couldn't resist placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. He started driving.

Y/n was shocked by his sudden action but didn't react. The silence in the car ride was unbearable and y/n couldn't help but feel slightly awkward.

Taehyung on the other hand, was glancing at her time to time. He wanted to reach out and hold Y/n's hands. But he doesn't want to make her uncomfortable too..

After what felt like an eternity, they finally arrived at Y/n's place. Taehyung parked the car and turned to her.

Taehyung : We're here

he said softly. Y/n nodded silently. She was about to open the door when Taehyung stopped her. He leaned in closer to her , his voice a low whisper.

Taehyung : Can I...can I kiss you, Y/n?

he asked, his breath warm against her skin.

Taehyung : Just once?
