Daniel pretty much sleeps for the entire plane journey to Boston, and I sit there reading my book, before taking the 'Tyler' card from my purse, staring at it before turning it over and over - glancing beside me every so often to make sure Daniel is still asleep and won't question why I have a card with Chris's face on in my hands.

I could have done with a glass of wine, but I've become all but tee total during this wedding prep. That and the last few days I've actually been going to the gym. The Thanksgiving meal is probably going to be the first one I've had in a while that's not something low calorie.

"Nice place, you spent summer's here?" Daniel asks as the Uber drops us outside of my Aunt and Uncle's home. They offered us a room, however we'd already booked one for the hotel not too far from here and have spent the last couple of days sightseeing In Boston a little.

"Yeah. I did..." I look around and then at Lisa's house - now picturing Chris and Scott outside as kids when I was here. "Anyway, look how pretty this town and place in general is in the fall".

"The fall?" He frowns.

"Autumn? It's what they call it over here".

"Oh..." He shrugs. "I don't really know American slang. I mean I deal with the guys who have an office over here but rarely".

"But what do you think? Do you like it?"

He looks around. "Yeah. It's ok. Still prefer home though, don't you?"

I bite my lips  but nod. "Yeah - anyway let's go". We head to the front door and my Aunt throws it open before we even reach the steps, grinning from ear to ear. "Tam! And you must be Daniel? Nice to finally meet you, I'm Melanie". She says with her slight Boston twang that she's developed over the years. Giving me and Daniel a hug, he proceeds to be charming and we're escorted in to find my uncle, mum and dad in the living room along with Libby and Jake as well as Cody and his girlfriend. We make introductions, and I can't help but note the table in their dining room all laid out and ready for Thanksgiving dinner.

"Lisa and everyone will be here in a minute. She's just getting her stuff together". My aunt says as she walks in and puts the plates out in each place. "So...Daniel seems nice".

I nod. "He is".

"You've lost weight" She now notes.

I smile, feeling that I've at least achieved something. "I know, I've been dieting, wedding prep so I can get in my dress".

"Well don't lose too much more ok?". She smiles weakly.

Have I really lost a lot? I've barely noticed if I'm honest.

"We're heeeeeere!" Lisa and the family now come in, putting the food they've brought onto the table. She says hi to me and moves on to greet everyone else as I do to the rest of their family, finally getting to Chris.

"Hi".

"Hi Tam". He smiles as he hugs me.

I'm now aware that Daniel has come through as is saying Hi to everyone before he finally gets to me and Chris. "Tam's told me about you, nice to meet you". I watch as my fiance now shakes hands with him. Chris is taller and a lot more built compared to him - and yet Daniel is at the gym most days".

"You seem like the work out, don't use steroids for those films do you?" He asks as I quickly interrupt.

"Nope! No, it's all a good diet and workout with his personal trainer". I shoot Daniel a look.

"Ah cool, maybe we should sign you up for one when we get back. I know you've been trying to go lately babe, but you've been letting yourself go a little recently. A PT will help you to focus". He puts his arm around me and kisses my hair.
