POV: Y/N
The world feels like it's in technicolor. Every shade is brighter, every sound crisper. I can't stop grinning. Jennie's laughter is like a melody, dancing through the air. We're at our favorite cafe, surrounded by the comforting aroma of coffee and pastries. I take a sip of my latte, the warmth spreading through me like the realization of my dream. I got the job at Jeon Enterprises. Jeon Enterprises! Can you believe it? I glance at Jennie, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She's always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. I raise my glass. "To new beginnings!"
POV: Jennie
Watching Y/N's face light up like a Christmas tree is the best feeling in the world. She's worked so hard for this, and she deserves every bit of happiness she's feeling. I can't believe my best friend is starting a new chapter at Jeon Enterprises. It's like a fairytale come true. We clink our glasses together, our eyes meeting across the table. "To you, Y/N," I say, my voice filled with pride. "You're going to kill it." I squeeze her hand, feeling an overwhelming sense of joy for her. This is just the beginning of amazing things.
Next morning
POV: Y/N
My stomach is doing a weird flip-flop thing. Not the excited kind, more like the 'I-think-I'm-gonna-be-sick' kind. I glance at my reflection in the elevator mirror. You can do this, Y/N, I silently cheer myself on, my voice sounding hollow even in my head. The elevator dings open, revealing a maze of glass and steel. Jeon Enterprises. The big leagues. I take a deep breath and step out. My first day. Great, Y/N, real smooth start. I mentally facepalm. I'm already lost.
I weave through a crowd of sharply dressed people, feeling like a lost puppy. Where's my desk? My brain, usually a reliable ally, has deserted me. I bump into someone, sending a stack of papers flying. Mortification washes over me as I scramble to pick them up. "I'm so sorry!" I stammer, my face burning.
This is going great, Y/N. Just great. I mutter to myself, wishing I could disappear into a convenient black hole. I find my desk eventually, which is a small victory. But the looming shadow of the day ahead is already casting a long, dark cloud over my mood.
I'm in a daze, trying to gather the scattered papers when I feel a strong presence. I look up, my heart doing a triple somersault. Standing before me is the epitome of corporate hotness, Jungkook Jeon, the CEO himself. My face turns the color of a ripe tomato as I realize I've just made a complete fool of myself in front of him.
