"Hey look Asta isn't budging an inch he looks like a statue" Luck said watching Asta sit and stare "his mouth is so agape I hope a fly doesn't fly in" Iris said popping out behind him "the tournament must have hit him very hard" Noelle said "hey I know maybe I should launch a little surprise attack on him, nothing says cheer up like a life or death battle" Luck said "don't you dare fighting is not gonna help Asta right now" Noelle said before Vanessa came out "where's my book?" Iris asked walking off.
"How you ladies doing? You warming up?" Yami asked as the squad took a bath together "it's perfect captain yami thanks for asking" Vanessa said "so relaxing" Aura said spinning around in a little tea cup "r-really Iris how did your boobs get so big" Noelle said staring intensely at Iris breast as it floated in the water "hm? I don't know I guess I've had time to develop they are bigger than average" she said staring down "we're all bathing together" Gray said embarrassed before transforming "oh come on" Noelle said as the water washed past them before Yami began explaining his back story.
"Hold on Yami Julius I mean the wizard king was married?" Iris asked surprised "who would have thought even the wizard king had game!" Magna said surprised "yea she has pretty red hair and strong magic you two actually kinda look alike whenever you use your armor magic, if she wasn't a noble and married she probably would have been a squad captain she was also really scary, now where was I" Yami said continuing his story.
"You know captain Yami said some smart stuff in there, alright time to work hard and surpass Yuno" Asta said after his bath "good for you honey" Iris said reading her book "hey that reminds me isn't it about time we got back the results from the royal knights selection exam?" Asta asked "ah yea think so, can't wait to see, bring it on mr owl I'm ready for ya" Magna said laughing nervously before the building began to shake.
"Hey I recognise her, thats Fuegoleon sister!" Asta said "is the captain of the crimson lion kings really here?" Magna asked his hair burning "yea captain why're you showing up on our doorstep outta nowhere?" Asta asked before she punched him away "it's Mereoleona!" She said as he flew to the wall "hey why is it so damn noisy in here all of a sudden? Sheesh can't a guy even take a dump-oh...dangerous animal on the loose everyone get outta the building! Trust me if you get caught just play dead don't make eye contact or it will eat ya-ow" Yami said as she held him down with her fire paw.
"Shut up and take this moron, it's for visiting my brother" Mereoleona said placing a bottle of sake in front of Yami "aw how sweet" Iris said smiling before a bottle was handed to her "for you too" she said "but I don't drink" Iris said staring at the bottle "more for me!" Vanessa said collecting the bottle "I also got you this" she said handing her a crate filled with flowers, a dress, jewelry, shoes and books "...thank you" Iris said happily before a paw grabbed her head "you four come with me" she said leaving the building with Iris, Noelle, Asta and luck.
"These are the squad members that passed the royal knight selection exam" Mereoleona said shocking the squad "really?" Iris said shocked "yah!" Aura cheered sipping tea Gordon made.
Later
"Looks good" Iris said wearing her knight robe "alright! Is everyone wearing their robes now?!" Mereoleona asked "hey, how come mine is so short?" Asta asked revealing his robe "yours is the only one like that!" Noelle said "Asta don't joke around" Yuno said as Asta whined "I guess when you're half a man you only get half a robe" Zora laughed "we ran outta fabric, you know apart from you lot we also called upon some people to help" Mereoleona said as two magic knights came out as she introduced them.
"It's nice of you to stop by even though we're rivals" Leopold said as Iris, Asta and Noelle entered the room Fuegoleon was resting in "we're about to take down the eye of a midnight sun" Asta said "we're departing in three days, until then we're staying in the capital to keep info from leaking...so uhm hows Fuegoleon?" Noelle asked turning to the man asleep "he's still unconscious, after the capital was attacked he was abducted they must have done something to him but we never figured out what it was, whatever it is it's bad" Leopold said remembering his brothers actions and words if he was awake.
"...He'll be fine" Iris said placing her hand on his shoulder "you're right, he'll wake up and thank you Iris for always coming here to keep him company" Leopold said "well, he was real nice and sweet and he didn't care about any of that social stuff, someone like that is really hard to not like" she smiled "yea, we'll get revenge for Fuegoleon" Asta said determined as Noelle nodded.
"Aura, you've been alive for a long time tell me about the eye of the midnight sun" Iris said walking the halls of the wizard kings building "I don't know anything about them, I've been sealed in that dungeon for I think a hundred years so I don't know much about the outside world" Aura said reaching a covered painting "?, I wonder what's behind this?" Iris said reaching for the curtain before Julius pulled it open revealing a beautiful red haired woman.

"She's beautiful" Iris said staring at the woman 'where have I seen that face' Iris thought remembering a foggy memory of a woman crying on top of her "she's my wife, Irene Belserion only a selected few know this but she's from the ancient dragon clan, when we got married we promised each other we were going to have our own family but one day while I was out she disappeared without a trace" he said staring at Irene lovingly "did you look for her? Is she still alive?" She asked staring at him "I still do...I hope to find her someday and ask why she left, if she fell out of love with me I'll accept it and leave her be" he said taking in a deep breath.
"I guess we have similar goals...I've also started a search for my birth mother, she's also from the dragon clan and so am I, I have a hunch shes still alive, I wanna know why she chose to abandon me" she said "do you love her? And what about your dad?" He asked "I don't know if I love her, I don't know my father so growing up I always hated them at the fact they abandoned me and let me go through what I went through but with everything that's happened these past few months I'm just not sure anymore" she said as he held his hand out for her "...let me take you to the lodging house in the capital, can't let a little girl wander around the night alone" he said smiling warmly at her patting her head.
"I'm here too!" Aura yelled offended "I'm not a child, I'm 20 years old" Iris said embarrassed placing her hand on the spot he touched before they vanished to the lodging building "rest up" Julius said disappearing "what's with you?" Aura asked "kinda reminds me of a protective father" Iris giggled.
