An Unfinished Picture

Chapter 18

Several hours later Taro and Hitomi finally made it to the hospital due to the overwhelming traffic jam,but the guard at the door...
Guard "Sorry, visiting hours are over. Come back again tomorrow."
Taro and Hitomi looked at each other
Hitomi "Let's stay."
Taro "Mr Guard please let us stay."
Hitomi "Please!"
After much begging and bribing, Taro and Hitomi were finally able to stay seated at the main lobby's chairs.
Hitomi "And now we wait until master Yoko shows up"
In the middle of the night Yoko couldn't sleep. She got up from the long sofa,which has been her temporary bed while in the hospital. She came out of Faye's room to take a walk. Yoko went to the main lobby to get a soda.  Aside from the movement of the second hand of the clock, the main lobby is empty and quiet and slightly dimmed. The only sound other than the clock is the sound of snoring from Taro and Hitomi. Yoko put a few coins into the vending machine. The sound of the coins awaken Taro. He opens his eyes. He sees Yoko.  Taro nudges Hitomi to wake up. They both see Yoko at the vending machine.
Taro "Do you see what I see?"
Hitomi "Yes I see it too"
Taro "It's...it's master Yoko!"
Hitomi "MASTER YOKO!"
Taro and Hitomi rushes to Yoko. Both do a 90 degree bow
A surprised Yoko "You guys don't make a scene here.Rise!"
Taro "Master Yoko you have no idea how much we missed you!"
Hitomi now in tears "Master Yoko, you are the only master who have been kind with us. And when you are not home,no one is kind to us. Did you know madam is looking frantically for you? "
Yoko "Yes I know that" "I have called home already " "She knows I am here" "And you 2. Go back to our own hotel and await for my instructions" "Don't worry, I won't disappear this time." "I'm with someone now..."
Hitomi "That singer?"
Yoko "Yes. I'm in love with her"
Taro "Does madam know this?"
Yoko "Yes she knows"
Hitomi "But your wedding..."
Yoko "It's in 2 weeks." "I know"  "I still got time"
Taro "Have you told her?"
Yoko "Not yet"
Hitomi "You need to tell her. Fast."
Yoko"I..."
Even Yoko does not know how to approach Faye about her current engagement to Mr Kitajima
Taro "Did you tell her? About our family?" "Our business?"
Yoko "I told her but I don't think she understands yet"

Some days later after much insistence by Faye, the hospital finally discharged Faye from the hospital. A well suited Taro and Hitomi show up to greet Faye Yoko. Taro is dressed in chauffeur's outfit so is Hitomi.
They come in a specially designed limo.
Faye "This... Who are they?"
Yoko "This is Taro and Hitomi" "They are my servants" "They swore their life allegiance to me"
Faye thought to herself "Life allegiance..."
Taro and Hitomi greet Faye with a light nod
Yoko "You want to know about me?" "Now I will tell you everything"
In an assertive tone of voice "Let's go Taro"
The limo carrying Faye Yoko Taro and Hitomi leaves the hospital for Yoko's hotel.
Arriving at the hotel they went directly to the underground parking area where they went to P2. At P2 Taro scanned a key card and put in some codes to open another gate. They park the limo where the car door is opened by another person. Yoko and Faye get off the car. They are greeted by an armed guard saying "Master Yoko"
Yoko and Faye walk into a room, where a brief hallway follows. Then they arrive at their destination where Yoko key in a code. Taro and Hitomi stand guard at the door. The room reveals a whole collection guns large and small,knives,and other weapons.
Yoko "Well Faye, this is my world." "I'm part of the Yamaguchi clan,currently third largest and set to move up soon to the second or even the biggest crime family in Japan" "I am the next heir to the family. Right now my mother is the temporary leader due to my underage situation when my father died unexpectedly." "These are the tools of my trade" "Much like your sound studio is your tool of your trade." "My life is filled with territory control, evading police investigation and maximizing profits for the family." "This is my life and I really don't want you to be any part of"
Faye fell silent,she is shocked at all that is presented to her.
Yoko "You must be disgusted with me right now...A girl,from the family of crime" Yoko lightly sobs.
Faye back hugged Yoko.
Faye "Ever since I laid my eyes on you I knew you are the one I love.Nothing will change that." "No matter who you are"
Faye turned Yoko to face her face to face to kiss her.
Faye "Is that enough proof that I love you?" "I'm not disgusted or scared. I will face the future with you,no matter what we face,together" "Now let's go home"
Faye and Yoko went back to Faye's home.

In the meantime...
Ice and her lawyer steps out of a business office
Ice and her lawyer shake hands.
Lawyer "Congrats on your divorce.You finally got your freedom" "Good luck and take care"
Ice "Thank you for helping me reach my goal. Without you it wouldn't be possible." "I appreciate it very much" "Good bye!"
Ice "Well Yoko, now you have my undivided attention." "I will have Faye back with me in no time" "And you will have the door slamming on your back,with Faye and I saying goodbye"
