An Unfinished Picture

CHAPTER 15

Sensed something is wrong, Faye dialled the second time.
No answer from Yoko
Faye got into the limo and went home.
Arriving home Faye finds a luggage and a carrying bag at the foyer
Yoko is seated at the foyer chair.
Faye "What is this?"
Yoko "I thought now that I'm better,I should leave the house now." "Thank you for your hospitality" "You have provided me more than I asked for which is something I would never forget."
Faye "Wait.What are you saying?"
Yoko "I am saying it's over. Between us...IT'S OVER!" Yoko desperately trying to keep her emotions in check.
Faye "Please tell me, what is wrong?" "Did something happen today?" "We were fine this morning." "Especially this morning when we..." "Did anyone said something to you?" "Please!" Faye's voice becomes more desperate,as she pleads with Yoko.
Yoko "No one said anything. I just missed my home so I want to go back"
Faye "I can go with you. Just give me a few days to wrap things up here."
Yoko "No" "Just be a great singer as we go separate ways" "We live in different worlds and I shall go back to mine as you remain in yours"
Faye "Separate ways? No I won't accept that!" "It must have been me. I'll change my numbers, cut ties with them, anything!" "Please don't go!" Faye's voice becomes shaky as she fights her tears from emerging, but she is losing. Faye is crying uncontrollably.

The  taxi comes to pick up Yoko. As she gets in the taxi, she could not hold her tears and cried uncontrollably as well.
Yoko "Faye, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."
The taxi drives away.

Faye "YOKO!" "I love you!" Faye shouts out loud as she sees the taxi fade into the distance.

Some time later in a 5 star hotel...

Yoko checks in
Front Desk "Welcome home Miss Yoko, we have been expecting you..." "Your penthouse suite is ready" "Madame has informed us that you will be coming" "All the amenities in this hotel is at your disposal" "Elevator number 1 is for your exclusive use 24/7"
Yoko "Of course, my family own this hotel."
Front Desk "Madam is taking the corporate jet to Rome for a meeting with the Italians.She says when you are ready to go home just give the order and we can get you on any flight"
Yoko "Right"
Without signing anything Yoko is given the key

At a distance Hannah is in the restaurant of the same hotel. Though she could not hear she did witness all the happening between Yoko and the front desk staff.
Hannah "Odd." "Isn't this girl with Faye right now?" "How come she check in into this hotel?" "Did she get dumped?" "Well that was fast" "But... something is not right here.

RINGGG!
Hannah's phone rang
Nam called
Hannah "Hi Nam ,did you make my favorite dessert?"
Nam "Hello miss Hannah,sorry to disturb you like this but something happen to miss Faye here" "Can you please come right away?" "Miss Faye, she needs your help"

Shortly

Faye's home

Hannah arrived at an almost disastrous scene of a home. Papers scattered throughout the house,and remnants of a Ming Dynasty Vase on the floor.
Hannah "Faye, what happened here"
Faye. "Looks like Karma has finally caught up with me.For all the women that I have hurt,one hits me back like a boomerang and DAMN that hurts!" "She's gone"
Hannah remember that she just seen Yoko at the hotel
Hannah "Oh Faye,I'm so sorry " "But..."
Faye "I really love her."  "Just when I started to think there's a future between us " "I don't want her to go,I  never wanted her to go" "For the first time since Ice she makes me want to want a future. With her"
Hannah "But I saw her,she hasn't left " "Yoko hasn't left"
Faye stopped crying
Faye "Hasn't left?" "Are you sure"
Hannah "I was eating at that hotel earlier and I saw her "

As soon as Faye heard the word she leap into her car and raced for the hotel.

After getting settled,Yoko decided to take a walk in the garden to ease her mind. But memories of what happened in the past few days surface,from the first passionate night to the fun at the mall to the sunset on her yacht, every memory is filled with love.  Yoko silently weeps.

At the same time Faye's car enters the mega 5 star hotel.

Faye went to the Front Desk
Faye "I'm looking for Yoko Yamaguchi"
Front Desk "I am sorry, we don't have this person staying here."
Faye "Can you check again?"
Front Desk "I'm sorry, the person you are looking for isn't staying in this hotel."
Faye leaves.
As she is almost leaving the hotel, she spot Yoko in the garden.
Faye dashes to the garden
Faye "Yoko I have finally found you" "Please come back to me " "I love you"
Yoko "I don't. Now please leave "
Yoko prepare to head back upstairs.
As Yoko walks away 2 guards stop Faye from following Yoko.
Guard "Miss please don't make it hard and leave without a scene" "We don't want to hurt you"
Faye speaks loud "I want you to know that I m not going anywhere." "See that light post at the edge of the hotel?" "I'm standing there until you want to talk to me"
Faye goes to the light post and stands there.
Yoko walks back to her elevator shaft to go back to her suite.
Yoko thought to herself "I want to be with you too,but I can't " "I'm sorry Faye " "My mother will kill you if I do"

That night and the next 3 days and nights none of them slept at all.
True to her words,Faye stood under the light post and didn't leave. All include standing under the 30° celcius temperature,and a flash rain as well. Only occasionally a couple of service staff for the hotel would come out to hold an umbrella over Faye, which didn't last very long.

DAY 1
Staff 1"Have you heard? Famous singer Faye Peraya is here"
Staff 2"Really?I want to get her signature"
Staff 1"Not likely.She just professed her love to miss Yoko" "Now standing under the light post" "Not sure how long she'll last"
Staff 2"I'm sure she'll go home by tonight"
DAY 2
Staff 1"Faye is still here"
Staff 2"Don't know how long she'll last"
DAY 3
Staff 1"Faye is still here"
Staff 2 "Kinda worried about her health"
Staff 1"Yeah, with no food or drink or any rest"
Staff 2"Her love must be really strong,or she wouldn't stand for so long"

All this is witnessed by everyone who works for the hotel and most importantly,by Yoko,as she has been informed every day.

After the 3 days Yoko decided to come out to talk to Faye

Yoko "Faye , there's something about me that you should know"
Faye "You have finally decided to talk to me."  "This is making me so happy~~~"

Faye faints.
