My mother dragged me along with her to introduce me to the Del Rosario family. My eyes lingered around to look for Primo again.

"Oh, goodness! Look at you, darling!" Masayang bati ni Tita Gertrude.

I smiled and bowed my head a bit. Isa-isa ko silang binati.

Together with her are her husband and two sons.

"Hi, I'm Jonathan. Congratulations on your graduation, Theia!"

I accepted his hand. "Thank you. Thank you also for coming."

He coolly offered his hand, which I gladly took. May kung ano agad silang pinag-usapan nila Mama. All throughout their conversation, my mind is elsewhere.

I kept roaming my eyes around to look for Primo. I seriously just want to come to him and hold him. It annoys me that we can't do that because there are a lot of hindrances.

I keep getting dragged everywhere, which makes it impossible for me to finally approach Primo.

I took my phone out and typed a message for him.

Me:

Tell me where you are. I'll meet you there. I'm really sorry.

Primo replied quickly.

Primo:

Okay lang. Tapusin mo na muna 'yan. I can wait :) I'll be by the garden.

I bit my lip. But I can't wait anymore, Primo...

She gave me a warning look and tried to keep me up with their conversation.

Our parents started another conversation we couldn't relate to, so I glanced at Jonathan, who was already looking at me. He gave me a smile.

"I met your sister a while ago."

Napabaling ako sa kanya. "Oh? Adela?"

He smirked and shook his head. "No, Catalina. She's nice."

"Ah, yes. She's really good with people." I smiled a bit.
