A/N
This book, in its entirety was supposed to be in Dora's POV but I had been itching to write at least a chapter in Christian's POV. I gave in eventually, enjoy 🤗Christian's POV
Now
"Where are you off to in such a hurry, man" Aiden's voice rang as he joined me in the elevator.
"I'm skipping the rest of the day. I need to be somewhere with Dora now" I said pressing the button to the ground floor.
"Oh nice. A romantic getaway" The idiot wiggled his eyebrows and smiled at me insinuating something else entirely.
"Damn, I wish that was the case right now but..." My phone beeped in my hand. I looked to see it was a message from her.
Speak of the angel.
I grinned automatically. The smile was suddenly wiped off my face seeing the message she had sent me. I couldn't believe my eyes. "What the...?"
"What's wrong?" Aiden asked but I wasn't listening to him anymore. I called her immediately.
"Hello" Her sweet voice came through.
"I've just dropped off what I needed to at the office. I'm in the car, on my way to you now" I told her, stepping out of the elevator. I felt Aiden in toll behind me. I tried to get to my car with utmost urgency.
"You can just meet me there, I'll test you the address now"
"Damn it baby! Will you just stay put?" It was rare I saw this stubborn side of her. I would have found it amusing or cute even but there was no sense of humor in what she was about to do. "I don't want you going there alone. Just list..."
"Honey, I have to go so I can send you the address before my phone goes off"
"You are texting me no address. We are going there together and that's it" Nothing. The line went silent.
"Hello?" I looked at my phone. The call had ended, that meant her phone had died. That didn't stop me from dialing it again. My suspicion was right, her phone battery was dead "Shit!"
This woman wants to be the death of me. I muttered
"Bro, what is it? Talk to me"
"Dora might be in danger. It's about those kids I told you briefly about the other day" I voiced my concern to him as I reached the car. "I have to go man, talk to you later" I opened the car door.
"I'm coming with. Then you can explain more on the way"
"No. Get back to work Aiden. You can't just get out of work like this. I got this, don't worry"
"I'm coming with" He repeated before settling in the passenger's seat. Arguing back and forth will only steal from the time that I probably didn't have.
Oh God
I stepped in and put the car in drive. A couple of minutes later, I heard Aiden caution me "Bro, you need to slow down" I ignored him.
I can't get to her fast enough
"You need to slow the fuck down" My eyes remained fixed on the road. He didn't get it. He just didn't.
If something were to happen to her...
I didn't want to think about that.
Last night, when she told me what she had gone through in the hands of that monster, I felt like locating his damn grave and reaping him to shreds over and over again.
