Two weeks later

" Chro bloodclaat a 8'clock areddii" I shouted as I rushed to the door as i dragged Asiere by his arm behind me. I secured the house and was now walking towards the car

late again

" Oww mommy yaah drag mi ruff" He complained as we approached the car door

"hush papa and yuh need fi start speak properly again"i told him as I was now opening the car door and lifting him up to strap him in the back seat.

I closed the door and quickly got in the driver's seat to start my journey to drop off Asiere at Ms. Wilson and heading to work right after.

"So don't fall fimmi and den guh cry to yuh fren when yuh cyah see mi" I sang and added little more volume as my phone blasted law boss song through the car speakers

MJ yaah throw word pan ?

Murdaaaaa maybe

yuh gwaan yere

" Because silent riva run deep " I heard Asiere sang that line loudly and I glanced in the rare view mirror at him in shock

a wah coulda really cause this fada god

He laughed when he noticed me glancing back and forth at him. I turned the volume down " Asiere weh yuh know boh dem song here likkle boy"

"i heard Mj playing this when we were in Jamaica mommy but i only caught that line of the song" he answered me with his little face smiling

I only smiled because what to do ?

We were now at Ms. Wilson's house I got out the car and unbuckled Asiere and grabbed his bag that was rested beside him.

As stepped out of the car with Asiere's bag slung over my shoulder .

"Come Asii " i called him , I could hear raised voices coming from inside Ms. Wilson's house. I sighed, knowing mornings could be chaotic, but I wasn't expecting to walk into a full-blown argument. As I approached the door, I could hear Jasmine and Ms. Wilson going at it, their voices echoing off the walls.

Jasmine should've been at work already. She seemed as if she was about to leave for work as she was dressed in her work attire.

"I refuse to abort this child, Mom! If you want me to get out of the house, it's fine. I will, and I'm taking Jamie with me," Jasmine shouted, her voice full of defiance and hurt.

"You will not take Jamie from me! And just because Jason called you, it doesn't mean he wants this baby with you. I only want what's best for you," Ms. Wilson replied, her voice softening as she moved toward Jasmine, arms outstretched for a hug.
